So I'm a 2000 graduate from highschool. It's been interesting as time passes as we passaway. So far we have a classmate shot to death in a firefight with highway patrol in 2003, drunk driving accident while evading police 2012, and heart attack in jail after many mistakes 2014(yesterday). All of these folks went way too soon but it's an interesting perspective to view life. Dunno what I'm really asking but share if you want.

I'm a class of 99. Several in ours have passed to early. 2 of them via suicide. One of which I knew well was married to a fellow classmate and had a son who at the time was only a couple of years old.

You will be surprised by age 50, how many will be gone. Everything from heart attack, breast cancer, suicide, murder, accidents, etc. Class of 115, at least a dozen gone already.

Class of 1999 with about 360 grads and I believe we've lost 4. One of those was one of my closest friends. He was a pretty healthy guy that died of a heart attack before his 29th birthday. He came home after a full day of work, told his wife he wasn't feeling well and was going to lie down after checking something in the garage and never got back inside the house.

2001 here. Not sure on exact numbers, but we've lost a handful out of a class of 200ish.

I assumed that this topic would be about the basketball team's passing abilities, but now that I'm here...

When people from my high school class die, I'll be the last person to hear about it. I only stay in touch with a couple others from my class, and they hated high school as much as I did so we're all out of the loop.

Class of '02 here from MN.

325 in class and only one has died (hit and killed by Cyride on campus). Ironic, eh.

Both my wife and I have dealt with sporadic health scares and I'm not being sarcastic when I say waking up with the ones you love means more than anything in the world.

Class of 02. 340ish in the class.

2 gone that I know of, one murdered after a drug deal gone wrong and one of an oxycontin overdose. All said, we've been pretty lucky...

Class of '03. 90 in the class. At our 10 year reunion we figured out that everyone was still with us. Now the class ahead of us has had one killed. Class behind us has had at least four die. A couple accidents and a couple suicides.

The worst classes for survival may have been 1967-8 when half the males not going to college or not married or non deferrable were drafted and then scores killed in Vietnam. That was really the worse as 18 year olds died in the fields of Vietnam for a mostly worthless cause.

Class of '06 - my husband's class of 39 are all still living, to my knowledge. The class I would have graduated with had about 80, I believe and two have died - one several years after a car accident freshman year left her in pretty much a vegetative state, and another OD'd on cocaine about 18 months ago.
