Just wondering if anybody on here has tried the p90x workout. If so, what are the pros & cons of this program? Also, what equipment is all necessary in order to be able to do it? I'm thinking of trying it, but want to hear some input first.

Is this a good workout for a college student or does anybody know if there is a better one? I need to work out more but many days I do not have the time to go to lied rec so a home workout is probably best.

If you don't have time to drive 5-10 mins to the Leid then you probably don't have time for p90x. You need 1 to 1.25 hours for p90x.

You really only "need" some resistance bands. I have a pullup bar as well which I would recommend but you don't need the gym for this...just a few sq feet of workout room.

You get a pretty good workout but remember the most important thing with this is the diet.

Up until about 2 months ago I was on this till I dislocated my shoulder on the jetski as soon as it gets better I will work my way back into it.

I was doing good on this but the diet part was killing me since I am driving a lot for work I tend to eat the fast food so I had to get creative.

I got those bowflex dumbells, pull up bar, and the resistance band. But you can get bye w/out the dumbells no problem

If the goal is to lose weight, remember that the workout is just part of the program. Diet is equally, if not more, important.

I've done a few of the workouts, and they are really pretty tough. If you're not in pretty good shape to begin with, I could see it being quite frustrating.

its a good workout and will improve your flexibility. all the tapes are around an hour long except the yoga one, which is around 90 minutes. Ive just done partials when Im pressed for time.

its handy and pushes you harder than you do when you workout by yourself.

Ive done it for about 3 months and would reccomend it to anyone.

p90x after looking at the entire routine, it seemed pretty gay. I would recommend crossfit but don't push yourself too hard at the start, i gotten a case of sciatica off the bat :(

I love how these threads begin as a simple question like: "Has anybody tried P90x and is it a good workout or not?" to idiotic banter such as: "Tapout and Affliction gear is gay!".

I am getting sick of all the side banter, take that to a different thread!

Everyone needs to remember that terms like "gay" and "fag" (rhymes w/"bag") don't refer to homosexuals anymore. They refer to tools. According to South Park, anyways.

Thus, Tapout/Affliction = completely totally gay
