Not exactly the same but European socialists want to tax the web in a similar new creative way. Basically every time you click a link, add, or pretty much anything. At least they are looking at something that exists.

I'd laugh at California, if their economy wasn't supporting so much of the rest of the country and if the state wasn't so cool. I work with people from all over the country and Californians and the Pacific NW are my favorites. Also great parts of the country to visit.

In reality if we ever get to the point of space tourism (we should) I'm sure it will be taxed like everything else.

Just curious why they would think they have jurisdiction to do so. Once they take off, are they in California anymore?
