Maybe expectations were too high this year, especially after Malloy left; by the way, did she know something we did not? I am not done with Capezio; I think she is a talent, but her play seemed to decline when she played the full cycle - maybe just a coincidence.
I've ranted enought about Nolan; don't see why she got the time she did - she has NO mobility - and other teams love to go right at her.
Plus, it is hard to do well with a new setter; jury is still out on Hudson. We did not pass well at all, but neither were we very imaginative in our sets. But this is her first year starting.
Plus Hurtt frustrates the heck out of me. She has a rocket of an arm, but tips and taps so often. When she does that, she is jus setting up the other team to drive it riught back at us.
Finally, something was out of sync with the team, because Kristen was off - that is not like her at all. To me, that speaks volumes and means it is a team thing going on and not just individual play.
BUT, and this is a big BUT, our recruiting has been excellent, Knuth and Kuhrt improved hugely and we have some great additions next year. Like most of you, I am disappointed with what happened, but I still have confidence in CJL and I can see a great future ahead. Too bad this year has been a bit disappointing.
And another BUT, they can still do a lot damage at the t'ment if.....
