I feel that both Rhodes and Campbell have done good jobs through their first year in a half. Will see if Campbell can keep the momentum going or not.
Not sure who Rhodes is but Paul Rhoads had a lot better situation his first two years than CMC has. I think most Iowa fans are hoping CMC leaves ISU sooner than later
Sorry about they typos. Iowa fans have seen a lot of ISU football coaches come and go through the years. So while I feel that Campbell is good, it is still a wait and see approach at the moment. He has things going in the right direction so far.
At least you admit that and I think that is fair.
You sound very concerned about ISU's coaches.I've always admitted that. Thought it was a good hire, but I also thought that Rhoads was a good hire. I thought McCarney was awesome and as an Iowa fan was glad when ISU let him go.
"Iowa can't help that, its the schedule they're dealt" is what I frequently hear. I don't remember Barta voting No when the additional schools were nominated.Only 2 teams left on Iowa's schedule have a winning record.

Prepare to hear how much "better" Iowa got by finishing the season strong.
Iowa's future opponents combined record 24-14
ISU's future opponents combined record 22-14
ISU plays 3 ranked teams the rest of the way out, Iowa plays 2
Can we all just agree that both teams will probably have very similar SOS at year end and this is really a non-issue?
That's because for once they'll play 3 of the 4 good East teams (and go oh fer).Agreed, I'm guessing ISU will have a better SOS but not by a drastic amount like usual
Just found this....
https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...nkings-pokes-sooners-make-moves-after-week-7/
ISU ranked #29 while EIU is at #35
Doesnt that ranking pretty much support your point that both teams have equal sos?CBS Sports is definitely my "go to" source for college football rankings...thanks!!

So... Exactly like Twins said, then?ISU will play 3 ranked teams this year. Only OU, TCU and Oklahoma St will be ranked. Iowa will play 3 ranked teams as well, OSU, Penn St, and Wisconsin.
Iowa and ISU SOS will once again be similar just like the previous 4 years.
SOS rankings.
2016: Iowa 44, ISU 49
2015: ISU 39, Iowa 51
2014: ISU 52, Iowa 59
2013: Iowa 38, ISU 45
Iowa average 48
ISU average 46
