Radiohead must the be the same Cold play thing I don't get AT ALL- Pretended to like the Cure for a few minutes back in the day.
Radiohead isn't for all tastes, no question.
I wouldn't put Coldplay in the same universe, but i think your point is, examples of artists whose appeal doesn't make sense to you --- I don't think you intended it as a straight-up comparison. At least I hope not.
Radiohead was an acquired taste for me. Early-period stuff blended in with the grunge-esque years, "Creep" didn't do much for me, Unfairly, I wrote it off as coat-tailing. I didn't pay much attention until I was introduced to OK Computer --- the music had gone into other places by then.
