They got a name for the winners in the world
I want a name when I lose
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide
Call me Deacon Blues

I consider a lot of Morrissey’s lyrics as self-loathing as much as self-absorption, although there's plenty of that, too, both solo and with The Smiths. I feel like he deserves a mention (or 12). Here’s one from his solo years.

“You see, it should’ve been me, it could’ve been me/ everybody knows, everybody says so …”

I have three entries. One is the thread winner.
#1 The Waitresses-I Know What Boys Like.

#2 Sugarloaf-Don't Call Us, We'll Call You.

And your thread winner...

Spinal Tap- Tonight I'm Going Rock You Tonight.

Lyrics (so you can song along):
Little girl, it's a great big world
But there's only one of me
You can't touch 'cause I cost too much, but
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
You're sweet, but you're just four feet
And you still got your baby teeth
You're too young, and I'm too well hung
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
You're hot, you take all we got
Not a dry seat in the house
Next day, we'll be on our way
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
Little girl, it's a great big world
But there's only one of me

To clarify that was the "Steel Wheelchairs Tour" the first time through what was then Cyclone Stadium. They came back again in 1994 on the "Voodoo Lounge Tour."
I didn't go to the Voodoo Lounge show. I worked so other people could go as I had already seen them twice.
A friend of mine was in an accident a couple of days before the Steel Wheels show and was on crutches. I carried her around piggy back through the crowd so she could see better.

I was working at a pizza joint the night of Steel Wheels and we were so busy before the show I was starting to think all 50,000 people were coming to our restaurant. I was working at the stadium for Voodoo Lounge.
