It was annoying. Fran must have said how they were down two players 50 times. Really Fran? Good buddies with Travis Steele? Told somebody to put alot of money on Xavier? Seemed overboard. Just a tad different than the ESPN+ announcers never mentioning once that Mike Rose, reigning Big12 DPOY was out against WV. Lol

MBB Big 12 title
MBB Big 12 tournament title
MBB Elite Eight
FB Insight.com Bowl (9-3)
MBB Big 12 title
FB Independence Bowl (7-5)

(Plus a WBB conference title, 2 WBB conference tournament titles, a pair of WBB Sweet 16s, and a NCAA runner-up finish in WR in that span.)
My freshman and sophomore years at ISU. My parents would remind me at every football and basketball game just how spoiled I was. Fortunately, I had sat through enough Walden era football in JTS as a child to truly appreciate the words of wisdom... and the athletic success. Great times!

Jones is also proving valuable. Kind of plodding, has trouble getting the ball in the basket, but another selfless, hardworking player that will spell GC and maybe help keep him on the court.

Need him to teach George how to set a screen. He knows his role.

Heard thru the grapevine that some accused him of being a 'drama queen' type when he was a freshmen. While surely he has matured alot, lets hope he does play smarter as the season progresses. He can really help us.
Past years you could see him complain quite a bit when things didn't go his way. He isn't doing that this year like years past. He's obviously grown in that area. Work on the fouls and he could be a pleasant surprise for us. Happy with the growth I've seen from him so far this year.

Yeah, Fran had been a cheerleader for ISU so long it was kind of odd hearing him kind of pull for the other team a little and make excuses for them. Whatever, I'm sure his next visit to Ames the love fest will continue.

If he plays four years Hunter is certainly going to break Monte’s steals record.

Haliburton and Morris clearly had ability to get steals right away but Hunter is on another level.
Hunter has physical abilities those other 2 don't have. If he can approach their feel for the game he is going to be something really special.

Also, this is the first I have watched the team this year. Are we going to be WVU lite? I think everybody is going to hate playing us, regardless of our record.

We foul less than WVU, but yes our D is persistent. Defense and rebounds are this teams M.O. when the shots fall (which is improving) yeah people aren't going to enjoy playing us. Might beat us but they aren't going to beat us because we aren't trying.

I think Fran understands where we were and where we're at as a team, so he isn't going to oversell anything. If these guys continue to play like that, the respect will come.

Strength and speed for sure. Tyrese has a one in a million frame and Monte was as good between the ears as any Cycline has ever been.

Couldn’t be more excited to hopefully have him out there for four years. Tinsley created a TON of easy offense with steals and layups like Hunter had tonight.

Larry Brown must love, love, LOVE the game of basketball. Wins an NCAA title and an NBA title and is in the hall of fame and he's still sitting on the bench as an assistant at 81. I'd be on a beach with an umbrella drink and a girlfriend 54 years my junior.
