Seriously? Talk about an alarmist. You must be looking for an excuse to stay in and play on the net. As of now it's fine and it appears the freeze line will be north of Hwy 30.

Except that he got up early to do the 6-8 KXNO show this morning(can you say FAIL). My wife was up at 5 going to the gym and she said the roads were quite slick at that time. They were fine when I drove to work.

Fail? I was up at 5:30 (like everyday), on the road a quarter after 6:00 and at the office at 6:30. Um yeah, about that fail. The roads were not "bad." Beat it.

I've talked to some people in the office that experienced icy conditions on some of the less traveled roads.

Where at in Nebraska? (I ask because we're heading there Saturday)
I live in Omaha and the roads were decent last night. This morning I decided to work from home. I made a quick run to the store first. While the main streets were still decent the residentials are icing up. I barely made it back into my garage going up the slight slope of my driveway.

The issue is that it is supposed to get progressively worse as the next 2 days go by. They are predicting 6-9" of snow on Friday on top of the ice.

Was hoping to make it from cedar rapids to garwin and back on Friday afternoon/evening, aunt and uncle were hopping to fly up Saturday, not sure if either of those will happen.

Such an overachiever, especially as much as you have been on CF today jumping people who don't 100% agree with your perception of the outside conditions......

Just hope this all stays rain long enough tomorrow to get down to Kansas City/Lawrence.

Sounds like it should. I'm leaving for Dubuque tomorrow morning. Could go tonight but it looks like it would be better to wait until tomorrow AM.

It's raining here in Omaha, but it's definetly starting to ice though. Trees are showing a little ice and my car in the driveway is starting to ice a little on the windshield.
