From what I've seen/heard of Jess Settles on espn+, I think he does a good and fair job. He doesn't seem or act like a Hawk homer.
Yeah that's key. They only shoot about 5 more 2's than 3's, whereas Iowa State shoots 17 more 2's than 3's.
SIAP, but there was a brief moment or two against Omaha when they led by a point in the first half.
It's weird to think about Utah having a basketball team. That concept had never come to mind until this week. I don't think I've ever seen a picture or video of a Utah men's basketball team or player or ever heard it referenced in sports news. It's like my brain just assumed they only do football lol.
Oh, he's a huge Hawk homer all right, but he does a decent job of masking it in games that don't involve the Hawks.

Fun nugget - Coach Green and Coach Crawford know well of the Madsen brothers on Utah who are from Mayo Senior in Rochester, Minnesota. Recruited and offered both out of HS. They're the leading scorers for the Utes, but both played for Cincinnati 4 years ago. I believe TJ was interested in Gabe when he was in the portal but don't think we offered him.

Keith Van Horn was a serious baller and had a pretty good NBA career.
Oddly they made it to the NCAA championship game the year after he was drafted.

They were a fun team to watch and easy to cheer for when they were going against the Arizona, NC and Kentucky powerhouses at the time.
Majerus led them to 4 Sweet 16s, 2 Elite 8s, one Final Four and one championship game. Along with Van Horn, he also had Andre Miller and Michael Doleac
