A good win while putting forth a B type effort. Will take that any time.

Still think this team is missing something, but can't quite place what it is
I think our team knows how good they really are and they are bored with the competition recently. I'm looking forward to Kansas coming to Hilton and the student back in their seats.

Some home game it would be fun to hear the announcer give the two teams starting five players and then add for Iowa State “Tonight playing sixth man, CURTIS JONES!!!”

Maybe, but Curt and Brandt come in at the same time, and while Brandt doesn’t score like CuJo, he is as important in the bigs rotation as CuJo is in the guard rotation IMO.

Don’t mean to slight any of the other players. Maybe if they did it for someone like CuJo on senior night then next year could do it for Brandt if he doesn‘t start next year. Our bench is huge in the TJ era, would be fun to see them get some recognition too.

Utah played tough and physical, but we rose to meet it and then beat them with talent. This team has consistently come out and taken care of business in every game.

Favorite stat of the year that bodes well for the grind of the season: Gilbert is the only player averaging more than 30 minutes a game (30.4). Curtis Jones is 2nd with 28.2 and Tamin is averaging 27.6.

Brandt’s a senior too.

I get what you’re saying, but I get the feeling like these guys don’t care about individual recognition, which is what makes this team such a great team.

Even though he's a little down lately (rumored sick) Jackson getting lighter minutes early in the year is exciting. He should be fresh when we need him in the tournament.

Yeah probably a flawed idea unless the announcer said something like, “ Tonight playing first substitution; Curtis Jones, Brandton Chatfield and Nate Heise.”

I was actually wondering if Jackson was sick, he did not look good (not just his play, like he didn't look healthy/well).
Same. After they put him back in at one point, he looked gassed after one or two trips up and down the floor.

I had the same thought about Keshon. It didn't look like he was moving as well as he usually does and looked tired.

I thought Jones looked lethargic/a step behind at CU and wondered if he was sick too.

It’s a good idea but that’s not this team. He will get his recognition from the fans for sure on senior night.

They also lost to USF at home. Team that lost to KU by 40+ at home

Watching hoops this year, there seems to be no kind of momentum.. Teams are all over the place in this league. And nationally. Maybe all the transfers impact consistenc
Except one.

There has never been a former Hawkeye who has heaped as much praise on an Iowa State team as Jess Settles did last night.

It felt naughty listening to it.
Was it him or the other guy that gave CF and Chris a shout out in the second half?
