The point is the run game isn’t working. Let’s throw the ball. The only throws have been simple dump offs when the team is forced to throw because the run game is non existent.
I was responding to the comment that run blocking has to improve. It does. But its hard to be great running into stacked 8 man boxes with the most basic running play in football.
Our big run came when we pulled and got on the perimeter. Yes, Noel held but it was good. Instead of going back to it we're literally running at Northern Iowa's best defensive player. With a brand new center making his first collegiate start.

Sometimes you can’t please someone as they are impossible to please. Thus far this has gone way better than I thought it would. Long way to go but we asked for special team’s improvement and to this point it’s night and day different.
Offense needs to get going and nobody is going to say they look great. But they need to just keep growing throughout the game and not F it up with something stupid.
To this point:

So up 14-0 and people are ********. Why the **** would we try something flashy right now. Use this opportunity to work on basic running plays and see where we are truly at.
That's right, open up the playbook on your own 20 with an essentially new QB and rebuilt O-line while you are up 14-0.
