Saved some time to get this thread started so people could add comments all day long before the prestigious BCS show tonight as I am a credit *****.



IF IT HAPPENS:

Today is the big day for Hawk and Red fans to get it started in Phoenix. They will start booking the same planes out of Eppley for the big one on NFL Networks. The fans will get to roast each other in the Valley of the Sun.

Will Stanzi outrun Crick?
Will ARob be healed?
Will TMagic have his ankle back?
Will Bo wear his dreaded gray flopper shirt?
Will Hawk fans out drink their brethran?
Will Clyborn be rested?
Will the fourth quarter be a barn burner?
Who will be favored?
Will KF get his mojo back on?

I won't be watching the special, but I admire your initiative here.

And the question about whether Clayborn will be rested. I don't think a month of conditioning is really enough for this level of fatigue.

That is good. The fans will not need a sling box or justin.tv then.

Attendance should exceed 60,000 if it does not snow much in next month. The bravado should start soon if this happens.

Fans West meet Fans East. Who has the classiest fans?

Actually, this will be a big game to get a leg up in the rivalry series.

This means fans start driving Friday night, watch the game on Tuesday, drink, rest, and try to get back to work on Thursday. Yep, that is not as good as a New Year's game. Can you imagine how much yelling there will be when a Red car passes a Hawk car on the interstate to Phoenix? Hawk fans probably will think about driving past Lincoln on the way to the game. Think about the Hawk car that has to gas up in Kearney, Nebraska and eat at Ho-Hos Pitstop.

Yes, even Big Ten bowls that don't occur in January are considered January bowl games.

I also have a few questions:

• Isn’t the Insight Bowl still affiliated with the Big 12? If so, why would they have two Big 10 teams playing in it?
• How can the Hawks accept an invite to a bowl that featured Minnesota and Iowa State last year? Isn’t this a third tier crappy bowl that is beneath the stature of a national title contender like Iowa?
• How can a “Close Our Bordersâ€￾ state like Arizona allow all of those Husker and Hawk fans to cross their border even temporarily?
• Should Husker Martinez shorten his name to Martin?
• Will Arizona have to ask for federal disaster relief funds after the fan bases of these two schools run amuck?
• Will there be any economic benefits for Arizona outside of increased sales at quick shops and Wal-Mart? Will these regional outlets have enough pork rinds and Cheez Whiz?
• Will hospitals be prepared for all of the emergency room traffic (black eyes, alcohol poisoning, jalapeno burns, etc).
• Will auto salvage yards advertise in the game program hoping to pick up business from the fans looking to repair their rusty old pickups for the ride back to their Midwest taverns?
• Will Iowa play the 4th quarter or just forfeit because they are “tiredâ€￾?
• Will the Mexican drug cartels temporarily suspend operations for fear of the Pellini Brothers Organization?

Why is there an "Official" thread on this site that does not relate to Iowa State? I could give a **** less if Iowa and Nebraska play, why would ISU fans care? Are we that insecure with our team? Both Iowa and ISU are likely going in two seperate directions in the future with scheduling and the way Iowa played this season with the most talent since the 1986 team, maybe record wise too.
