My first thoughts when looking ahead in the guide this morning; great, we’re after West Virginia.
Both Jacobsen and Lard need to have productive games. If I were UT I’d post up early and get Cyclone bigs into foul trouble.
Luckily, we've got 3 bigs! 15 fouls to give.
Always great news ... ESPN News, usually!!My first thoughts when looking ahead in the guide this morning; great, we’re after West Virginia.![]()
Eric's son is getting married this weekend.I see that Brent Blum is the analyst teaming with John Walters again today. He did fine in that role Wednesday night, although I assume he is primarily a play by play guy. So is Eric Heft on vacation, or what?

I'd say THT and hopefully Talley need to have productive games. Both Jacobsen and Lard need to have productive games. If I were UT I’d post up early and get Cyclone bigs into foul trouble.
Agreed. But if Texas gets off to a good start, I'd really like to see our squad come from behind and win it. The ISU men are 1-4 in games decided by 5 points or less, and that needs to improve before tournament season. Jacobson manned up and made some great plays late in the game at KU, proving he is a worthy starter. More efforts like that will be needed to win close games in February.A lot of inconsistency from this Texas team this year. When they're on they have played with some of the best in the country. I'm hoping Texas comes out a bit slow after the big win against Kansas and we jump on them early. Really think we need to set the tempo from tip and avoid getting into a slow half court game.

We generally only play one big at a time and have 3. UT plays two, and has three. The foul trouble angle is if we can get Hays into foul trouble. If I were Prohm, I'd drive at UT with our small ball lineup and hope that we get the calls KU got on Tuesday night.
They have talent, but it's not exactly the type in which you make a comment about going at ISU's bigs to get them in foul trouble. It won't be UT's frontcourt causing foul trouble, but their backcourt.I agree. Just think Texas has talent advantage in the front court. Jacobson and Lard struggle defending good post players. Leading to easy buckets for Texas and foul trouble for clones in second half.
Expecting a few more minutes for Conditt today.
