It's not like tech looked amazing. We just looked worse in spite of their best efforts to give us the game
After the game, I headed out for a few beers at a local pub in DMS. Had a TT fan who went to the game mosey up to the bar, while I was reading Cyclone Fanatic on my phone. He told me to stop reading that stuff. He had a GREAT time, thought the ISU fans were GREAT, it was COLD, and after I complimented TT on being tough and deserving to win, he flat out said: "TT did not win the game, but ISU lost it." My retort was don't ever bring that cold weather with you again! lol. He was a totally good sport, and I tried to be one too. Just telling you what I experienced with a visiting fan from TT after the game in the DSM.

Right? I’ve heard people say “atleast we aren’t losing 70-7 anymore”. Well yes, we also aren’t facing prime RGIII and his weapons on offense anymore.

RG III wasn't on that team. His last season was 2011.

2013 Baylor was really good though. But 2013 ISU was bad all over.

It almost seems he only attempts field goals when they are unmake-able and goes for it when the field goal is a chip shot.

Woke up still mad. What happened to “Players, Formations, Plays”? And I don’t ever want to hear “win in the margins” again. Same mistakes every week. Glad I didn’t bother to go to the game. Wonder if the players and coaches woke up mad or if they even care?

That's remarkable that you're still emotionally invested.

Last night was the season to a T.

College football season ended today for me. Zero interest in watching us play TCU, plus world cup starts tomorrow. Time to switch to soccer and MBB fingers crossed that we make some changes for next year.
At least you will get to see some scoring

Hmm, maybe I need to go there, see some real football. Hate to say that, but...

What we saw today is not enjoyable football.
Then you’re not going to like that. Talk about moving up and down the field without scoring. That is the epitome of Cyclone Football and Soccer.

I still can't believe this happened. If we lose next week, we will finish the season in sole possession of last place in the Big 12 in year seven of the Matt Campbell era.
What difference does it make what year it is? Doesn't matter if we suck in Year 1, 7, whatever.

People act like a team is suppose to keep getting better every year until they are 12-0 every year. That's not how football works.

So I’m finally watching on the DVR and we seriously just ran up the middle 3 times on the 2 yard line with Sanders, our speed back? Are we trying to ******* lose these games?!

Yes, I know the final score already.
Serious question
Did anybody think we were going to score?

I did not. I told my wife, I cannot watch because I know how this is going to come out.

I have never seen an ISU offense so inept when in scoring position. Ever.

Right, each team should strive to become the best version of themselves…blah, blah, blah…

?
Our misses were very short and very makable. We should have kicked, I agree, but he may have been influenced by two prior chip shot misses.

does anyone know why Jace Gilbert didn’t play? I heard he was warming up but did not play. Nettles clearly isn’t the answer.

This has to be the most mistake prone offense I have ever seen. So many plays where there are one or two players who just straight up either aren't doing something important or are getting beat. The average level of individual execution within the offense is probably the worst I've ever seen under Campbell. The excuses don't exist for many of the mistakes I've seen tonight.

I would love to hear someone who actually knows the game review this tape and grade out plays to see what percent of plays did everyone actually execute to the minimum required for success.
Listen to Ben Bruns on Iowa Everywhere. He breaks down each play and does it very well. He definitely is not impressed with our pathetic OL that is for sure.

Pissing Positives onto a ****** day:
- the grass. The field looked fantastic today. The grounds crew genuinely is really good at what they do.
- the crowd. Everyone there was seemingly in the mess together.
- hot hands. Whoever got the patent for those is a god damn genius.
- the emotional moment between Ant and CMC. That was really cool. Can’t wait to cheer for him on Sunday's.
- the crowd during the times we went under center. Place recognized what was happening and made their approval known.
- hot chocolate vendors. Guys were working their asses off. I bet every 10 min I saw one of those guys going past me.

Well, on a positive note, ISU fans can save the money they were going to use on a bowl game and put it towards going to Maui bball next year. and judging by what we have coming back next year for football and how good the league is, we can probably safely assume next year may be out also.
Maui will be expensive, so just trying to spin it positive...lol

I can already see this playing out next year for the 2023 Team. will be predicted to finish last. it will be everyone is against us and nobody believes in us, etc...

The next year or two is going to really say alot about ISU football IMO. Cytown could be a ghost town.

and I also get tired hearing about fair weather fans. Look at places like A&M yesterday. 3rd quarter was going and there was less than 5k people there out of 100+K.
