It was ugly at times, but overall Cyclones were good. Defensively, Cyclones were good most of the game: only gave up 30 yards rushing and 4.5 yards/play. Offense was was not good for longer stretches than they should have been, but they made plays in crunch time. But the special teams....yeesh

He's a tough matchup for sure but it wasn't like he was all over the place which is good on ISU.

I’m dissatisfied with this win. Good number of wtf moments & decisions, still scored 40 & won. Is this what it is like being ‘spoiled’?
Better than whatever that feeling is after a variety of losses through the years.
Strange how when we started to actually pressure Tech’s offense and freshman quarterback, they started ******* up.
I suppose that qualifies as an "ugly win." But I can't count how many times I've seen ISU lose those types of games, so I won't complain.
The special teams mistakes and strip sack TD were really frustrating, but the Cyclones outlasted TTU over the course of the game. Holding Tech to 30 yards rushing, 4.5 yards per play and 3 INTs is stout. And it's refreshing to see the offense make plays to win the game.
I agree. I had visions of KSU 2015 in my head at some points in the 4th quarter, but the Cyclones made plays on both sides of the ball down the stretch. I'm going to go ahead and chalk that up to a culture change.
That was frustrating as hell, but I’m glad we came out with the win. Tech isn’t bad

Tied for 4th in Big 12, with head-to-head over Tech, and nobody can overtake us in the standings this weekend.
Frustrating, but also could be part of the game plan to play pretty vanilla and then add in more twists as the second half wore on. Defense as a whole was fantastic.
That was a game that made you want to slam your head against the wall multiple times, but was a great, competitive football game in the end. Good teams force the other team to make mistakes, and those were both good teams.
I'm just glad we are in a position now to feel conflicted about a W compare to under rhoads trying to find moral victories.
