Here nor there
Still not convinced that we are a good rebounding team like others have said

Because we need somebody to force the action? If we just pass the ball around the perimeter all day, nothing is going to happen. We don't have the guy to collapse a defense like we have with Royce, Kane, and Niang. It's so much easier to attack a scrambling defense than it is a set defense, and we don't have the guy that can draw multiple defenders right now.
Agree. I know it can't be worse, but I don't think it would be appreciably better with Hoiberg. I know we view him as an offensive coach, but he always had a mismatch guy and some things to build on. Even in Year 1 he had a guy that could easily create and a 5 that pulled out bigs.

Maybe we can be a grind-out halfcourt team, but our lack of size and grit says otherwise. I think our best chance with a team full of undersized, moderately talented players is to go hectic, up and down,!almost Huggyball. We have a lot of guards and can afford fouls (don't have anyone irreplaceable imo).

They haven't given me the optimism to think they can come back this year.

Yeah, it's actually worse than what I feared.

Might be seriously looking at a losing record overall when it's all said and done.

Texas Tech isn't a real good passing team, but they are doing a good job of being patient to get good shots.

Fred and Matt A would have landed a big time grad transfer post and probably Chris Boucher (last year) and we would be a totally team.

Our guys solution to getting better.... growing beards. Yes, that is how our team thinks folks.

Next week maybe they will all wear red headbands or something? More effort might be a better idea.

Agreed, although I do agree with what he said about Hoibergs offense too. It was never any super creative sets for the most part, it was about having guys who could drive, draw multiple defenders and kick it out. We were never some amazing passing team, we just kept the ball moving which is easy to do once you have the defense scrambling. Hoiberg's own players in Chicago have called him out for running too many iso's.
