One benefit from living in the south. Haven't got the slightest bit sick in two "winters".
I think increased colds & other viruses are not so much a product of the cold weather, but the continuously recycled air we breathe in our homes, classrooms & offices. Although I have hayfever issues and pollen is my nemesis, I love being able to throw my windows open in the spring and inhale FRESH air.
Is her name Mary?My niece must have brought something nasty home last year. Hit my dad so hard it caused an overnight hospital stay for observation, got my sister and my mom pretty good. My mom called me, and her voice was so horrible that if I hadn't seen the caller ID, I would have sworn it was a 2 pk a day smoking frog calling me. She said her throat was so sore it was like swallowing knives. My niece, thank goodness, never got sick. Just a carrier.
