Curling is interesting to watch for like 30 minutes tops, but my god I can't imagine sitting and watching a full 10 ends, it feels like it takes forever.

Try with Beer! I love the strategy like chess with a little physical ability required. I love it cause there is more to understand an learn about the game all the time.

I am pretty sure there are big time Curling fans out there that saw a team score 7 in one end in a high level comp for the first time ever this Olympics when GBR put 7 on USA women. I believe it was the most scored in one end in Olympic history (or at least womens history)

3 True I would first start by watching the Women. For some reason it is easier to watch

I think the sport itself is interesting, it's just too long. 2+ hours of them throwing 80 stones or whatever is just excruciating.

Yes, truly a sad day for US women's curling. It is like having a 21 run second inning or a 56 point scoring quarter in football or a 68 point bball half or a 3 goal soccer half. Astounding.

We are leading the medal count

May be true that USA is competitive but it'd be hard to argue that overall the results haven't been slightly disappointing. Speed skating has been a disaster, curling has gained traction in term of audience but the results were embarrassing, Nordic Combined had a number or surprise medals in 2010 but nothing looks likely this time around. Skeleton, Luge and Bobsleigh have had some nice victories though.

Well, looking through our Winter Olympic history, maybe we aren't doing as bad as I thought we were.

A lot of that history didn't include a bunch of the relatively new snowboarding and skiing events where the USA is racking up the medals this year.
