DeAndre played well today as well. He didn't score but had 9 assists to just one 1 turnover. Much needed.

I wouldn't go that far, Kane driving into 3 people and getting blocked or missing badly might not show up for turnovers but OU got a 3-4 easy transition buckets from him doing so.

I'd like to see DeAndre be more positive when he isn't having a good game. When someone makes a play while he is on the bench he doesn't cheer or clap. He says he's here to just win but it doesn't seem like it.

Matty Ballgame showed me a lot today. Great hustle, great presence.

Separate thought....the set on Niang has to be huge to shoot that three.

Noone else on this team I would rather have shoot that shot. Niang is as clutch a player I ever remember seeing.

Yeah I would actually argue that this was DeAndre's worst game as a Cyclone..the fact that he still contributed with 9 assists is great even though he really struggled with the rest of his offensive game.

Lots of butthurt on Boomer's board about the loss. One poster claimed that OU is clearly the better team on a neutral court. +5 point game in Norman, -6 point game in Ames. Don't understand how that makes OU "clearly the better team on a neutral court".

Yeah, there's no way Kane only had one turnover in this game. I can remember probably at least 3 times today where he bull rushed down the lane and either lost the ball or got rejected. I don't know how they determine turnovers, but he cost us on quite a few possessions today.

We still need him big time though, so I hope he can keep his head up and not get too down on himself. He looked lifeless on the bench today, which is understandable somewhat since he was having a poor night and he wanted to be on the floor, but he's got to support his teammates and keep his head up.

He should be at the state fair next year. Put's the biggest boar to shame.

...was watching the game solo, and asked 'Why?' as soon as he squared up. I still don't like it, but was glad it went in.

In other news...what kinds of ISU accolades does Ejim get if he hits 1,000 rebounds (it's mathematically possible), along with the way his stats have been his last two years of a 4 year career that also included great academics?

We should have swept OU. Give credit to Kruger though, he gets those guys to play harder and own us on the boards.

Oh, by the way, I absolutely LOVE watching Bill Self and the Jayhawks get their rear ends handed to them right now.

Seeing an ISU win, and then to watch KU get killed makes my day.

Gotta be happy with a win against a very good OU team, however, it shouldn't have been that close.

Another 2 or 3 turnovers in a row there down the stretch that you just can't have. We needed Niang's 3 and good FT shooting to pull it out. Just glad we did.

But if we really want to improve, we HAVE to work on defense and rebounding big time, and then of course stupid turnovers down the stretch.

If Naz Long doesn't start contributing, I think Fred might have to give SDW some of his minutes to see if he can provide a spark.

Beat a top 25 team, all negative points. You must be a riot to be around.

Ejim is definitely going to be hard to replace. He just does it all for us. Plus he's a great guy and student as well.

I'm hoping Nader can be our "Ejim" next year.

I find myself scratching my head a lot while watching BIG12 games. It seems like every 5 minutes the game is being called a different way. I enjoyed watching the first 10 minutes of that game, refs allowed them to play.

On a positive note, good win and lets best OSU on Monday night!

Of course I'm happy with the win, that's probably why I said I was.

But I'm looking to the future and the potential that this team has this year to make some noise in the tourney. And if they want to do that, then they need to clean some things up, that's all.

I said it was a great win against a very good OU team. But it's already time to move on from that. If you are content with sloppy play down the stretch, then so be it, but I'm not, and I'm sure Fred probably isn't either.

Best take away from today I saw was Matt Thomas remembering how to dribble. Either moving it up floor or taking it to the hoop. Combine that with improved shooting and he becomes very dangerous down the stretch.

What is the board website? Wouldn't mind a good meltdown.
