Well the good news is we play Houston this yr. (Currently losing to UNLV 14-0)

Every coach every year. The guys could play the CF All-Stars and he'd say that. No biggie.

Most of those teams didn't have the hype or optimism this team did. Also the fact you can think of 3-4 home openers worse than this is an indictment on Campbell and constant terrible starts.

Why is our O-Line consistently so poor at run blocking year after year? I get that we probably don't have the best talent but they are a fairly veteran bunch and should be able to look good against an FCS team replacing a bunch of production.

Honestly, yes. No OL talent and RB are weak

Honestly, I really don’t think it’s a talent issue. Watching our line, it seems a lot of times they just don’t know what to do. Like we are playing 4D chess when the other team is playing checkers. There is something in the CMC scheme that doesn’t allow you to block the guy in front of you. I don’t know what that scheme is, but if we just simplified it to, unless you are pulling, make sure you block the fist guy to the side the ball is going.
