My guess is Duke-Baylor gets the first standalone. It's EDT (Raleigh) for one thing, and big brand. It's a 1v9, I think they might like tighter seeding matchups later in the day with more options.

I could be wrong.
With the #1 CBS crew in Raleigh Duke-Baylor would be my prediction for the 1st game on Sunday.

Times won't be announced until tonight after all games have been played.
I hope ISU plays in the first game on Sunday! Earlier the better to have first choice on secondary market tickets for ATL. If Sparty plays and wins first, that is going to make it more expensive for Cyclones fans to buy tickets later i the day.

Man, the selection committee really struggles with the low seeds some times. Flipping between our game and the Alabama vs. Robert Morris game. Robert Morris was so much bigger and more athletic than Lipscomb, it was night and day. Maybe they normally can't shoot, I don't know. They just looked significantly better and more dangerous as a 15 seed than Lipscomb as a 14.

Having said that, Lipscomb must have done something right to become a top 100 Kenpom team.

That infamous Florida Gulf Coast team that went to the Sweet 16 as a 15 seed in 2013 is another one that looked really good, shockingly athletic and terribly under seeded for their talent.

I believe we smashed the FGC team in the preseason at Hilton

I know its off topic but once again I have to ask how UNC got a bid. I think the first schools out have a claim against the NCAA and the chair of the committee, the UNC AD. The tournament share would have been better going to any of them.

Edit: great, this is aging less than well
As for Tournament Share (which is important), I 100% prefer it going to an ACC Team (UNC) than to a B1G Team (IU or Ohio State) . Bummer it didn't go to the Big XII though (West Virginia).

Can someone fill me in on the Garza bracket thing? I assume he had Lipscomb going far?

I think Lipsy said he was more sore in the second half.

I'm going to guess that none of us really want to know how much pain that kid is in. Just from listening to him talk, it seems like it is a lot.
It's not the pain that is the issue with Tamin he can obviously handle pain, it is the injury it's self. Playing on a pulled groin, if aggravated bad enough, you simpy just can't play. Ole Miss knows he is dealing with an injury, they are really going to challenge him, test him.

amazingly, at the bar today, I had a Big 10 guy tell me WVU got screwed. Also, fist NCAA tourney Friday at a bar with my daughter legal drinking age. That was fun but I miss my designated driver text recipient.

Well, all 14's are over-matched and we've struggled with plenty of those types of seeds over the years.

It needs to be noted and should be every year: the 99/00 team was up 20 on Central Conn. before they came back and tied it with about 6 minutes left.

It's a thin line.
