Full confidence in your ability! You CAN do it!

Let's see.

A football game this year is usually 2 beers. This is down from 6 beers 5 years ago.

So 2 beers for the football game.

Basketball games are 4 beers up from 1 beer 5 years ago.

so 16 beers for basketball

That is 17 beers.

Add on 2 beers for drinking while dealing with hok trolls on here.

Add on 2 beers as I procrastinate from shoveling snow.

Screw it, too much math. I am just going with a case. And before I get any wussy comments, it will likely be a 6-7% IPA Weldwerks Juicy Bits

We win tonight, but it really has way more to do with KSU being at historic levels of suck. Losing by 13 to a D2 team whos only other win is an ot win against the Newman Jets is... bad, really really bad.

I'd take the Cyclones -8.5

This.

But it's really the beginning of the race to the bottom. We lost a lottery pick from a horrendous team (ie we still suck) and KSU is redefining P5/P6 suckage. There is little bragging rights in winning this game.

A 4-5 win (us) conference ceiling against a 2-3 win conference ceiling team. Stoked!

I would think there would be more excitement to watch the guy play tonight. This is the type of game the team needs with only haveing 2 non-con games to gain some confidence. There were some flashes last Friday, that were quickly dashed by Luka. KSU doesn't have a Garza type player to tip the scales.

This game will be a much better gage of how this team is progressing and improving. I would like to see a larger role for Foster and Dubar tonight.
Plus after this past offseason with so much doubt if we would even seen MBB played any Cyclone game will be exciting for me to watch.
Go Cyclones. Beat the purple kitties!

Reasons for optimism with this team (which I'll delete if we lose tonight):
  1. We're down a starter, who happens to be our best 3 point sniper. Get healthy, Tre.
  2. Foster looks like he's ready to contribute. Even with freshman mistakes, his energy level in the last game was impressive. Keep it up!
  3. Tyler's defense in the first half against the Squawkeyes was also noteworthy and super fun to watch.
  4. Solomon is so solid inside, and if the team will remember to throw the rock in there (dare I say, Like Connor McCaffery does), Solomon will put the ball in the hoop.
  5. Javan and Jalen are solid big 12 players, and they each bring something different to the floor. Not all-conference, but solid.
  6. Finally, our best player is a 2-guard learning to play the point. And the assist-to-turnover numbers are great so far. It's working. (Now if he can play a little more defense...)

Debbie downer version.

Tre might our best 3pt shooter but has not shown it Nor proven to be a starter.

Only reason Foster looks like he's ready to contribute is because Conditt is playing like ass

Agreed about Harris but has limitations physically

Solomn took nearly 60 mins of bball to record his first rebound. It seems he has decided to channel all of his efforts on offense at the detriment of strong post defense and rebounding

Jury still out on the Javan and Jalen. A few nice buckets don't translate into solid players. There are hints but they definitely need to step up their defense.

To my surprise Bolton has played nicely at the point in spite of the flat out passionless play of the rest of the team.

My key to the game is whichever of these stubborn coaches makes the “out of their box” adjustment first wins.
