We can win 6-7 games next year. Going to help not having Jarvis West dropping every pass thrown to him next year.

What happened in the games Jarvis missed due to injury?

I'm predicting our offense puts up 35+ points every game next year if Mangino stays.

The questions going to be our defense.

People were saying the same thing this past August. Scored over 20 just 5 times. Over 30 just 3 times.

There is not a mentally tough player on the roster in a key spot. I think we have some good freshman with leadership skills and desire, but unless they step up and let the upperclassman know they aren't going to accept losing anymore the weakness will continue. Especially on defense. Nobody has filled the void Jake and AJ left behind talent-wise or football smart wise.

Any reason why that would happen (the 35 points/game)? Please don't reference having a bunch of relatively average D1 receivers.

Only saw the end of the game, but I'm assuming it was on par for where this program is currently. Could be wrong.

Hope Hoiberg figures out how to instill some consistent basic defensive schemes soon; otherwise may lead to a LOOOONG off season for football.

West dropped what, two passes today? Last one very touch catch goung to the ground and it barely touches the ground.

And you guys are piling on him? Yeah - he has the last rough play of the game and the brain trust is all over him. Smart.

Sad but true. Losing has become a habit. Need a fresh start. 2-10 after six years. Look around the country. There isn't a Coach that has survived that. I know.... buyout. Pay $5 million now and reverse course or ensure 10 more years of misery.

We say it every single year about the offense. Every single year, and we haven't been right (as a board) yet.

There won't be a prolific offense until there is a running game. 135 yards today on 40 carries. How many plays got stuffed in the hole by a very average defense. O line can pass protect and Sam is good in the pocket, but he has no running game to rely on. Need some big uglies up front who can push people around.

Another issue. How much of our "running game" is Sam? It's clear to see he is beat up. His non throwing shoulder still looks like it's tender. Good effort out of him today. He's just worn down from 11 games of no rushing attack.
