Question for people that know the rules better.
On the replay review at the end of the game that was ruled an incomplete pass to Jarvis West the TV time out official let a guy from the WV sideline listen to his headset. He signaled over to the WV coaches that it was an incomplete pass before the ref was done listening. I didn't have any impact on this game but I could see how a little advance notice in a close game could be a slight advantage to the team listening.
Is listening to the refs communications allowed? I would think if it was allowed more teams would listen in.
