I want to beat Iowa 99-0 but if that's a PI then defensive backs shouldn't even be on the field. I hate how soft football has gotten with its rules. I'm all for limiting head shots or guys diving at each other's knees or late hits and other in general stupid stuff.

I think for me the most frustrating thing is - every year it seems the nightmare comes true . Like you think worse case start or scenario, it more or less happens. Yet, best case, never does. Or doesn't seem to. Yes, we won last year which of course if the ultimate best case but it was hardly a 99-0 beating.

IDK if its fate, the football gods, how we approach the game or play calling or what but but it would be so incredibly satisfying to watch a game where the positives all come true instead of the other way.

Plenty of time to go in this one but man.

I'm not "happy" but we aren't playing poorly. Rocco looks good, the O-Line looks better, we've ran the ball pretty well. But the defense is giving up big plays and committed a stupid penalty

Not sure why everyone is saying that wasn’t a DPI. It was way more egregious than the blown call people were mad about. lol

He went for the ball. Defender does have equal right to the ball.

We ran right into the receiver on the interference call, that was a good call.
Then we can't do anything to stop the big play. If we continue to play dumb like this we don't have much of a chance. We need to play smarter.

Later in same 1st quarter, ISU DB uses body to out position WR on throw, Huard: you have to call that contact
Zero inconsistency for officials & the booth

ISU's Oline actually overall has progressed so hopefully that gains traction.

Defense is getting put in its place a bit on crucial plays.
