We don’t necessarily need to attempt a lot of passes on vertical routes or deep passes, but we need to force the opposition to truly commit resources to defend against it. And with a struggling QB, we had a better chance of scoring on a slip-up or missed assignment on those type of routes than we did by dinking and dunking imo.
With a safety over the top good coverage underneath with the speed they have, a struggling qb that is overthrowing or underthrowing becomes a high risk high reward and zeb just didnt have it tonight.
