Campbell is creating something big here, we are just watching the sausage being made right now. Nobody has blown us out in 17 games, I dont think that has happened in the history of ISU football. They will figure out the offensive system at some point.

I still believe 1000% in CMC as our head coach! But he's not a good OC. Not hiring one after Manning left was a HUGE blunder. It's pretty obvious.

Everyone is screaming at Zeb, and yes Zeb wasn't great, but in that last series for example we had nobody even running deep routes for him to even throw to, so how is that his fault?

Where was Butler on that last play? 10 yds downfield, well covered, and couldn't make the catch. Where was Eaton a play or two before? On a 10 yd out. Not deep routes at all.

We should have seen nothing but fly patterns on every one of those plays if we seriously wanted any chance at all to try to tie the game. But CMC thought he had time to dink and dunk down the field with no timeouts. Clueless.

As far as scoring, coming into this game, TCU's defense was rated 49th in ppg, and they got rolled by UT last week.
They turned it over 4 times, but look at the field position last week vs this week. 2 turnovers by TCU had ISU inside their own 10. Changes the game.

A 6'4 receiver and a 6'6" receiver and no shots down field?? maybe get into FG range for overtime?????

Sickening waste of a stellar defensive effort. We don’t even try to do anything in space. No jet sweeps, no runs to the edge. Not using slot playmakers. No Kene on offense. Are we still holding things back? O line is a major liability but where’s the creativity to try and mitigate the weakness. Game was there for the taking. TCU is at best a 7 win team.

This is the best post of the night. Sums up everything wrong with this offense.

We have no creativity offensively at all. A very risky 3 yd pass all the way to the sideline does us no good. Just frustrating.

Our local high school coach is better at calling up jet sweeps, edge runs, misdirection counters, etc than ISU is. How is that?

Sometimes you have to show them the sausage - Fritzy

Must be talking about Centennial- that offense is a butch to defend.

TCU's defense is really good, but our passing game was also trash tonight
You can't in good conscience say our defense deserved to win tonight but TCU's didn't. Their game plan was force Noland to fit passes in tough windows. He couldn't do it. Most quarterbacks do struggle with TCU's team speed.

It's hypocritical at best to say how great our defense played and not tip the cap to the team who has the best defense in the Big 12 almost every year.

We weren't far from being blown out of that game. The fumble took points off the board and gave us a LONG field against a great D. The pick basically was a good punt but again left a LONG field. The offense took advantage of the field position on the first turnover and gave away their only other good field position on the scoop and score.

Defensively we played great keeping points off the board. The defense not being able to get off the field however gave the offense long field after long field. That's not a recipe for success against a good defense like Iowa State or TCU.

Too many missed chances in the 1st half on 3rd and short and 4th and short. I don't like Zeb's decision-making in those situations. He was firing the ball 30 yards downfield when he just needs to pick up the first down.

Yes, unless you give Purdy or Mitchell the start before then and they perform better. I have pulled for Noland since he signed but he has no touch and is frequently off target.

Might as well try one of them some, very disappointed in Zeb’s play. If the offense gives a half ass effort iSU wins tonight. Feel bad for these defensive players and butler. Championship defense JV offensive flare/imagination/play calling.

It seems like the best qb we have only got to play because they were desperate last year. Makes me question how the coaches judge and develop talent at that position

Those last 4 plays sums up why Matt Campbell completely failed by not hiring an OC.

How about the last series of the first half too? LAZY. SMALL thinking....you make a champion team by never being passive in the final seconds of a half.....then, when you really have to be chucking it in desperation like we did at the end of the game we look ..... not good, that is a nice way to put it.
