Again big time trouble at guard play for the future. Naz and Thomas are awful away from home. Heck even at home.

So are we out of the tourney?!?!?!

One might think so based on this thread.

Wer're not getting very far in the tourney unless the shooters start making shots and the bench starts contributing. The tourney, unfortunately, is not in hilton

I've never seen Fred throw up his arms like he did when Thomas passed up that wide open 3 with about a minute left.

He was clearly frustrated he didn't shoot that since that's why Thomas is in there.

Ejim played great and got screwed by a bs technical. Kane played great too, but with Niang cold and our bench useless, it's tough to win.

The fact that Ejim got a technical does not really bother me so much. He is an under-sized player for the position he plays, and is an emotional player. He probably plays with a chip on his shoulder that makes him the player he is presently. However, the fact that he got another technical tonight after just getting one the last game and missing a good portion of the game because of it is disappointing. He has to show better leadership than that and be a smarter basketball player than that. Unlike the last game, he was the leading scorer and at the time leading re-bounder for his team. You don't pull a bonehead play like getting a technical again in an important game like this. I'm sure he feels bad, but then I heard him say after the last one that it would not happen again. Won't believe that any more.

This team absolutely cannot survive all three of hogue, naz and Thomas not showing up. You can't depend on the big three to all have good games every night. They need some help and having three empty uniforms out there clanging shots won't cut it.
At least Hogue hit the boards. Long and Thomas not hitting shots would hurt a lot less if they brought great defense and rebounding. I know shooting is their role, but is that all they can do? Given that is the only manner in which they are to impact the game, it puts a lot of pressure on them. I had hoped they would be showing more all-around game by now.

His pine time may have been the key stat; that was the beginning of the 4 minute drought.

5 seconds after that Thomas made sure to show Fred why he didn't take the first look though.

Nothing wrong with this one. Ranked teams dropping on the road all day. Nobody wins at K-State.

Good game on our part. Better game on theirs. Hats of to the Cats.

This. They are undefeated at home in conf WITH A WIN OVER KU, can't win them all. Time to buckle down take care of business next week.
