Do you want this team going to the Alamo bowl right now? We've looked pathetic the last 3 weeks
The loss would have been brutal, especially when ISU scheduled this game. We got 8 Regular season wins, lets go get the Ninth in the postseason.
Disagree - this game basically showed that most likely the players didn't take the game very seriously nor did they prepare very well for it. Also crappy conditions, but moreso just not caring/prepared. Drake on the other hand was the complete opposite and played a hell of a game.
This is exactly what happens when you don't take games seriously and/or prepare for them. That's how upsets happen all the time.
I think, and hope, it would cause a bunch of players to never take any game for granted, even when you're favored by so many points.
Mods can we just close this thread and never speak of this game again.
A casual reminder that despite the culture change, we as ISU fans aren't out of this thing yet.
No words for that game. It certainly had all of the ingredients for a huge upset. Wish I had put some money on it.

Really think Rankings will change. Pretty sure were the only people that even knew this game was taking place today.
Good to get the win, but it still is a huge embarrassment for the program. Drake, however had a great game plan and great effort.
Date was okay. Listening to this on the way home wasn't fun though.
Why would they be? They were hoping to be in the Big XII championship game. Even after that the starters thought they'd maybe play a quarter. With the field in terrible shape, rain, wind we just shouldn't be playing football in Ames in December.
Was said earlier by others - other than obviously 1 team did not want to be there & the other very much did, but the OL play was glaring in this game. Usually missed tackles are dissected but never have I seen so many complete whiffs on blocks. Ay caramba
Not so. If the loss happens, start making Iowa trolls pay and it's a CF upgrade!
