Wouldn't say he exactly jumps off the page as a high major player yet
His dad at that age was much further ahead from what I remember

Looks like he runs well. Probably someone that starts off at Valperaiso or some team like that, developes and then transfers after a couple years.Jesus, I'm not sure he can even dunk at 6'10"
I would say let him grow into his body a bit he's only a sophomore. By the time he is a senior he could be more coordinated and more athletic.Looks like he runs well. Probably someone that starts off at Valperaiso or some team like that, developes and then transfers after a couple years.
Yes.So does Omaha stay or go
Big guys can take awhile to develop.I would say let him grow into his body a bit he's only a sophomore. By the time he is a senior he could be more coordinated and more athletic.
Literally the first highlight was him dunking......Jesus, I'm not sure he can even dunk at 6'10"
Okay, in game with a soul around him. How about that? My point was that he looks wildly unathletic, hence why he probably hasnt been talked about before?Literally the first highlight was him dunking......
The kids a sophomore!! Most kids his size are just growing into their bodies.Okay, in game with a soul around him. How about that? My point was that he looks wildly unathletic, hence why he probably hasnt been talked about before?
I totally remember the game he played against New Hampton as they had 6'8 Brian Heying who later went on to UNI to play, game was super close may have even went into overtime.Wouldn’t be surprised to see him develop into a pretty good prospect. Raef was such a skilled big man. Remember seeing his stats from his senior year in Sports Illustrated because they were just ridiculous because he played against really small schools that could do nothing to stop him.
Found the blurb in SI:
"Raef LaFrentz
MONONA, IOWA
Raef, a 7-foot, 225-pound senior center, averaged 36.6 points, 16.4 rebounds and 6.2 blocks to lead the MFL/Mar-Mac High basketball team to a 22-1 record and a berth in the state finals. He had 50 points and 17 rebounds against New Hampton and 48 and 25 against West Central."
Side note: it appeared in the March 14, 1994 issue with Baseball Michael Jordan on the cover whiffing on a swing with the Headline "Bag it Michael: Jordan and the White Sox are embarrassing baseball"
6'10 at age 16 and you're wondering why he looks unathletic How athletic were you when you reached that height?Okay, in game with a soul around him. How about that? My point was that he looks wildly unathletic, hence why he probably hasnt been talked about before?
6'10 at age 16 and you're wondering why he looks unethical. How athletic were you when you reached that height?
I hate auto correct without my glasses. Not real fond of It with them.I agree, unethical is a really really harsh take for a 16 year old.
