Some of these kids have birth year in 2009, when I was in college... HTF does that happen so fast? I don't want to be this old
Lol welcome to the club. I graduated high school in 2000

Iowa prep.
EIU offer, ISU monitoring.

They just moved to QC from Florida so never grew up surrounded by Hokroaches, thus not brainwashed. I have seen him a couple of games. He is good but I don't know that he stands out. Seemed to play within himself and for the team, not individual glory.

What happened? I was able to be a Cyclone fan my whole adult life! It has been awesome!
I was able to see:

1) I got to see Nate Carr wrestle and win National Championships as well as the last ISU National Team Champions.

2) I saw Ron Harris limit the great Wayman Tisdale in a game ISU won. I saw Barry Stevens go point for point with Steve Alford, and Danny Manning never win a game in Hilton, and Lafester drop 54 on Iowa. And all the stars since then.

3) I attended the memorial service for the women’s cross country team killed in a plane crash and gave one of the girl’s mom a hug as I likely got the last one from her at a party a night or two earlier.

4) I saw the football team knock off Oklahoma State in bitter cold when they had the great Leslie O’Neal playing defensive tackle. I saw “The Run” from Seneca Wallace and thousands of Troy Davis yards.

5) I remember when Bill Fennely wasn’t the women’s basketball coach at Iowa State and I even reffed a WBB scrimmage on the Hilton court.

I could go on and on, but those experiences were priceless so I don’t consider myself old, but rather wonderfully experienced! Go Cyclones!
Nice humble brag…I kid I kid. I’m jealous, so many great moments you mentioned. I need to account for the great ones too

Ha! My post wasn’t meant to brag, rather to counter the comment I responded too that time didn’t just pass, rather there were some really great times we were fortunate to experience.

Yeah I know I was just giving a hard time. Great moments either way!

Very strange. I can't even find a recruiting profile on him. Strange that a kid who is 6'10 and the son of a former All American and NBA player isn't getting much recruiting attention. I know he is young but normally his dad's bio mixed with him being 6'10 will get you some notice.
