It's a blanket waiver, supposed to be no application. If they played in juco, the one year blanket waiver should apply.

It’s a very poorly worded solution, I anticipate the wording to be cleared up and Curt probably not being back, because in reality, there is no way he should get a 5th year of D1 eligibility. This is really designed for someone who played JUCO 2 or more years. I’d be thrilled if he came back, I just don’t see it happening.

I think it’ll be pretty telling if we recruit another big to replace Chatfield next offseason or they’re confident in Rock filling that role
He will only be 19 next year. I wouldn’t be surprised they recruit someone older and more physically developed to replace Chatfield

Im interested to see with Gilbert, and more than likely Jones, being gone. Which of these freshman guards can get in the rotation. Batemon’s the clear favorite but I have a feeling Toure could kind of be like D-Wat and just give them hell defensively right away

Rock will play, just not yet.

I’m still optimistic. An 18 year old 7-footer is unlikely to be at the level Jefferson, Jackson, and Chatfield are playing at this year.

But if he’s able to be a good Big 12 starter as an upperclassman in two seasons, I think he’d need to play next year. Not a great sign if he doesn’t work his way in to the rotation next year.

In hindsight, starting his clock a year early may not have been as beneficial imo.

I think we add a one year big unless we get the German. If we do Jefferson could handle the extra minutes at the five. We’d be smaller but extremely versatile and talented.

I could see adding a transfer/juco big AND the German. The physical older defender role that Jones and Chatfield filled should be fairly inexpensive.

Then hopefully a transfer scoring guard

I really don’t expect too much from any of the freshman

He's listed as a freshman, not that it matters because he would have four full years coming from a juco with the rules change.
I think he did a post-grad year too

A 20 year old freshman that’s played a couple years of post-high school ball, with 5 years to play 4.
