I'd just prefer KU use their adidas $$$ on top 25 recruits, and save the jucos/transfers/top 150s for the rest of us. bummer.

I have been trolling their boards for a few day now and their fans would rather that be the case too. Bill is having a very hard time recruiting this cycle and taking a commitment from Tyon shows this to be true. Look for Kansas to get at least 1 more JUCO and maybe a low tier 4 Star HS Kid.
Someone will transfer. Not that we want them to but someone will see the writing on the wall. It happens at every college. It's not a bad thing. They get more playing time somewhere else, we get a shot at a better player. It's that simple.
Bummer to see Grant-Foster end up at KU. Reality is he is from KC area not to much of a stretch that he probably wanted to be a JayHawk from an early age. As soon as he got the offer I view Self as the leader unless the pending sanctions gave him pause.
ISU getting Blackwell likely also gave G-F another reason to pick K-didias now. Reality is ISU has a lot at the SG/SF spots today. Lot of competition for minutes between (*Haliburton, Leech, Bolton, Johnson, Lewis, Grill and Blackwell).
A side effect of KU's recruiting has taken a hit with 5 stars due to the NCAA attention causing Self to look at JuCo level for immediate reinforcements. 5 years ago, Self and the fan base wouldn't even look at the JuCo ranks. I have a feeling we'll be going up against KU for a number of similar prospects in the near future.
Looks like the staff was aware well in advance of this and went out and did what a solid recruiting staff does.
They have settled on some modest transfers in the past.

Actually, it may seem like they just recruit 5 stars but that isn't the case. They don't get near the level of 5 stars that Duke, UNC, Zona and Kentucky get. He has looked for JUCOs and transfers throughout his time there and also recruiting players ranked in the back half of the top 100 or below.
