I think Stanford is going to be tough to beat for this one.

They seemed to be leading this summer but like Twins mentioned, Stanford's program being a wasteland right now hopefully works in our favor. Ohio State and Wisconsin prioritizing him would make it tough as well just looking at his offer list.

What's up with Stanford coming into Minnesota and taking basketball recruits? Reid Travis, Tyrell Terry, and now maybe Ben Carlson. They're the new Roy Williams stealing Iowans.

It is amazing but Stanford's academic reputation has played a big part in those other commitments. It will be a major factor in Carlson's commitment as well.

Stanford gets players for academics. CIMD was assistant to the recruiter there for two years. Reid Travis said it was totally academics. He went to Kentucky just to make the tournament since they didn't make it the four years he was there. Games there are strange, the students are all studying during the game. The arena only holds something like 6,500 people also.
