No really. What is your reasoning? I am honestly interested because I don't understand this line of thinking.

I'll take a stab. These young men chose to become Cyclones. They have worked their butts off on and off the court to represent this university well. If they decide there is a better place for them, that is fine and their decision. They do not need any input from fans. They will still be a Cyclone, and I wish them well.

Cyclone fans do not eat their own....we have their back.

He's not an ISU fan that's why he doesn't get it

I wish I could rate this one x 10. Well said.

It's almost invariably accompanied by "he's not going to get minutes next year" or some other nonsense opinion like that. No reason to put that **** in a kid's head. They're here, they're Cyclones, we should support them until they say they're not (and I'll support them regardless).

I guess I don't see it as necessarily a negative thing against the kid or ISU. It can be, if you make it negative, i.e. saying the kid sucks or something. But you can be supportive of a kid and still say he may want to transfer if say he isn't playing and may want more playing time. But I can see where you are coming from now. You just don't want people to be ragging on a kid. Which I totally get.

Your name explains it all in my opinion. To me, Cyclones are like a family that chooses to be together. I don't speculate on which of my family members are going to leave, and I'll likely continue to support them even if they do leave unless they go out guns a blazing.

But I am assume you think it is ok to speculate on what players from other teams may transfer?

Sounds good. Let's start with the TOE. How many hoks really suck, don't belong on the court, are not good enough to get any minutes, should have never been recruited, and would be better off not being berated by MadFran?

I tend to see more of a Kansas lean in his posts than Iowa.

I have said this before but I will say it again. My dad went to KU and most of that side of my family so I was born into a KU family and have always been a fan of KU basketball. But I am also an ISU fan. I moved to Iowa when I was in second grade with my mom and step dad who is an ISU grad. So I also grew up an Iowa State fan and have been going to ISU games since I was a kid. Went to ISU after high Now, I don't hate Iowa so Twins thinks I am the antichrist but really it's just that i am not the kind of person that hates the other school and everything about them. I have a degree from Iowa and since that time I have cheered for them when they aren't playing Iowa State. Also have a degree from Drake but there usually isn't much to cheer for.

Remember the audience of your posts likely includes the players that are not getting the PT or the family of those players. Transfer talk is far past criticisms of nightly performance.

Most of them including future player Frederick.

You went to ISU but have a degree from Iowa and Drake?

I guess I just don't see transfer as a dirty word. I think it used to be that way. But now I see it as free agency and I would imagine a lot of players and family see it that was as well. I think many people see it as a business decision. In many cases transferring is a good thing for a player.

Perhaps, but you have to acknowledge that many likely don’t think that way.

Again, it’s not needed to use names to get the message across. If there’s no benefit, why risk the potential (likely) negative interpretation?

That's true.

OK, now that we've established how supportive the hok fan base is, let's move on to Kansas. Who's no good, needs to move on, and no longer needs to take turns pre-game freshening Bill's rug?

I wouldn't say there is anyone that is no good. I wouldn't say that for any team. Just that that team or that level of competition or that team wasn't a fit for them.
If I had to guess, the only person I can see moving on to another team is Cunliffe. It sounds like guys like Vick and Newman who probably should come back for another year, are leaving regardless.
