win against Colo on Tuesday and then 'what should have been' our biggest game of the year is there for us next Saturday. Not sure if we have a puncher's chance or not. Probably depends on if we can hit shots. I like us when we are the underdog though.
Not going to win at Houston unless we get our turnover issues figured. Houston will be one of the top two teams defensive teams we play. 18 turnovers against them on their home floor = blowout.

I hate to say it, but the Keshon technical seemed to be to point at which the officials couched up the whistle. Keshon received his technical with about 2 or 3 minutes left and the official whistled Cincinnati on the next possession- after the Keshon technical. The second half is as you say.
TJ stopped the refs at the free throw line after the first half buzzer and gave them a minute long talking to

Gilbert is struggling, teams are not allowing him drive to the hoop and finish, which is his game. They are now cutting him off and doubling down, stripping the ball away, and he is getting frustrated and it hurts the team.
It hurts the team because he refuses to change how he plays. IMO he doesn’t take enough three’s, that would help open things up.

Gilbert is a wreck looking for some place to happen
Keshon is governed by emotion and when he’s down on himself, he’s a turnover/forcing one-on-one machine often to the detriment of the team.

His next evolution is harnessing emotion for good and I don’t think that’ll happen during his career at Iowa State.

Uh, unless they get better in the next month..? Not like they haven't shown they can, had had 9 TOs against Auburn early in the year. Yeah there's been some concerning ones the past few weeks, but it's not like they're not gonna practice and work on that specifically heavily heading into March.

Seems like a defeatist attitude to just assume we will get bounced from that. Could happen, but I think it's more likely it doesn't.

It's not defeatist to think 18 turnovers in a close NCAA tourney game won't be an issue.
Especially if ISU isn't shooting 26/30 from the FT line.

They had 9 vs. Auburn but the last one was the difference in Auburn getting the last possession.

It's not just that they turn it over; they're just weird throw away types that stem from speeding themselves up.

Hopefully they get it figured out but it's been a season long thing.

Anyone near the Cincy couple that was sitting behind the PA announcer that got escorted out in the final minutes that knows what happened? I noticed during 1 timeout in the 2nd half someone near the official scorer said something to them then security stood near them for a bit before leaving. Then something must of happened later as security came back and had them leave. They were yelling during some free throws once so wonder if they were saying something out of line to the refs?

Two things stand out: Cincy is a fantastic addition to the Big 12 going forward. Cyclones are rounding into the type of team that opponents don't want to draw in March.

Addendum: Cut down on the turnovers. Is Matt Campbell available to give a talk about this? Value possessions.
