Idea: ***OFFICIAL Can we get a chat room for game days forum***

Just an idea...how hard would it be to set up a chat room for the cyclone games? It's hard to follow the chat in the forum style. I'm sure some people would appreciate also because their comments probably wouldn't be saved (most chat rooms purge the posts so you can only see what is posted whilst you're in there.)

Anywho just an idea.

only thing about it is that people can spam the crap out of it...if there were mods around to keep it safe and somewhat clean of ads and bad language (constant cussing, a couple bad words are fine), then I think it could work.

Either that, or if there were some way to essentially follow posts live.. although I can't think of a way to do it. Something like that would probably require a number of changes on the back end of the forums.

I've definitely wished that could be done for a while, to follow these live game threads.

Yes, anything to keep me from hitting the refresh button would be awesome. Just have the posts pop up like they do in facebook or something :yes:

It would also be a good revenue generator. Gameday Chat Live sponsored by Wilson Toyota for example. The chat window could have upper and lower billboards and skyscrapers up the sides w/ ads. Also, those game day threads generate around 300 replies so im assuming its in the 5,000 range of page views at least. If a chat doesnt work, they should still have game day threads started by a moderator and then someone could sponsor those specific pages to generate money for the site.

A couple other boards I go to have this, Cockychat on CockyTalk (gamecocks) and Panchochat on ShaggyBevo. Its just a feature on the Vbulletin forum as far as I can tell. Doesn't appear to be too much of an undertaking but then again I know nothing about this kind of stuff :twitcy:
