You marked like 7 of my replies dumb. What are you smoking tonight?
And you're a misogynist.... so there's that. You probably don't support the WBB then, huh?

See I can play this name calling game too if you want to go down that road?
Wow! I came back to this thread to see what was going on. And I see stuff like this. Guys, just a thought, most of the time when someone disses you on a discussion board, best to just let it go.

I wonder what the next 4 pages are like? Not specifically talking to you two but collectively can we be more civil? Please.

Lol, this thread and every gameday thread, including this year's football gameday threads, are all the proof you need that our fans are huge tools.

Iowa State University of Dorks and Virgins.

People who didn't even watch the game are down on CSP and the team? That is all you need to know about our "fanbase."

Loyal sons something something...

Lol you new to this? You can go to a gameday thread for any team in the country during a poor performance and it’s the same thing. Hilarious you would try to act like CyFan is an outlier.

He pulled the same crap with CPRs final years too. Can rate how a coach is doing based on how close he is to going down with the ship.

APB is a bad team. That’s why we could withstand a horrible start, regroup, and win comfortably. Let’s not act like this is the same as the FL A&M or UW Milwaukee games.

It’s not blind optimism to say this year’s team has more athleticism and players that work in Prohm’s system than last year.

I’m encouraged by JCL and Dubar. Was happy with Harris, Walker, and Blackwell. Bolton setttled down after his 2 quick turnovers. Holding out hope for Johnson. Disappointed in Conditt and Solo but not going to write them off after one game.

Also, not going to give up on the season if we lose to a top 5 Iowa by 20+

Interesting......on a neutral no less. So, then it wouldn't be a stretch to say NC Central and Southern could beat them by say 30 on their home courts?

No. Home court advantage is 2-3 points in most leagues. Kansas is about 6 points and it’s the best homecourt advantage in the country.

The entire team played 40 minutes and was out rebounded by Pine Bluff. This issue isn’t unique to Solo.
Agree..... but
Solo is our biggest strongest starter who spends more time near the rim, on both ends, than anybody on this team. He has never been a good rebounder, but that was a poor performance.

Okay big guy. I think Iowa is a pretty solid Top 10 squad. Weiskamp is very good. Bohannon can shoot. I think they are very similar to some our our better squads under Fred. As far as their defense. They are better than us that’s all I can tell you.
Did you watch their games? JoeW was basically non existent in the NCCU game. He finished with 9 points with most coming from the ft line. Iowa gave up 67 and 76 points their first 2 games, and got out rebounded their 2nd game. Garza is scary but no one else is. Bohannon can shoot but so can JCL, and Harris.

Yeah, it's kind of a cross section of America, or people in general. We like to argue and complain. I get some of it, and some of it is deserved. Don't mean I have to listen I guess.

I am (listening) this game. If the post game negativity is too great, after games win or lose, I'll be out.

We gave up 45% FG to Ark-Pine Bluff. They gave up 42% and 38% FG to Southern and NC Central respectively. We might be a better defense is two months but we aren’t now. And Iowa is hands down a Top 10 offense.

Is there anyone on our staff that has experience coaching bigs? Prohm's obviously a guards coach, but didn't know about the rest of the staff.

If not, that's one shakeup CSP probably has to make.
D-Rob is our post player coach.

Are you telling me that Prohm has Boeheim’s resume? People act like the complaining is occurring in a vaccum. Like Florida AM didn’t happen. Like 9th and 10th place in the Big 12 didn’t happen in two of the last three years. But let’s compare to a one off game by a future Hall of Fame coach. Good grief.
[/QUOTE
Almost none of the current roster participated in those results. Look forward...not backward...otherwise you start sounding like Hok or Husker fans that love to live in the past. Prohm runs a clean program, brings in good talent, and has had success. I wasn't comparing coaches, just poking holes in the ridiculous claims being made by some about the fact we were trailing a team we were heavily favored to beat. They equated that to Prohm is a horrible coach. I simply showed another example of a heavily favored team that nearly lost to a lower opponent that has a Hall of Fame coach.

Ah........madduxsports.com. With all your expertise I expected a little more than this canned answer.

Late to the party here, as I work on Sundays and didn't get to see the game, but I do think that Wednesday night, win or lose against a very solid mid-major program, will tell us much more about what to expect going forward.

No, winning or losing will only tell us to what degree Steve Prohm blows.

I'm not sure if we will be worth a **** this year, but I can see Prohm has at least identified areas of need. I love the fact we have some depth and some variation this year, and athletic wings are something we've sorely missed recently.

I guess I'm just taking this year for what it is. Prohm isn't getting canned after this year (at least in my opinion) so let's just see if some of these guys can develop and with the addition of Hunter see if you don't have a tournament caliber team next year.
