You don’t like the correct answer? Find me a spot where Ark-Pine Bluff is within 50 spots of Southern or NC Central.

Spots?? I thought we were talking points. How the H does a "spot" translate to points? Never mind.......I'll play.

On the ESPN power index Wisconsin is #15 and ABP #322. Wisconsin won by 34.

We are #38 and beat #322 APB by 17. Sound good so far?

Southern is #248....and yet your measure of points.....

NC Central and Southern would beat UAPB by double digits on a neutral.

Double digits runs from 10-99. Could you be more specific?

.........you have them beating #322 by as much or more than the #38...............on a neutral court.

You want to keep talking spots, go back to points or just tell me Prohm blows and wait until after the next game to point out just how much?

Size will be an issue when trying to finish inside, but he looks quick enough and with the threat of his outside shot, he should be able to get in the lane and create for others. He had a couple nice drive and kicks yesterday. We're going to need him on the court.
Looks like he has some nice shake in changing directions on the perimeter. and looks to pull up more than get to the rim which is needed at his height.

I don't like this but Wisconsin also was leading APB 25-0. We were down at halftime. They clearly put the brakes on.

That said APB is a terrible team. We ended up winning by a lot. We know there are a lot of reasons why that might happen, I'm not changing my opinion on anything until we're probably 8 or 9 games in.

I’ll talk slow because you need it. Wisconsin would be favored by 10 points over us on a neutral. They would be favored by 14-15 at home in Madison over us and favored by 5-6 in Ames. Homecourt advantage by Vegas standards is 4.5 for Hilton and 4.5-5.0 at the Kohl Center.

NC Cebtral is #290 in Kenpom. They have #354 South Carolina State on their schedule. They are favored by 9 on the road and 13 at home. South Carolina State is representative because they are #354 and Arkansas Pine Bluff is #351. Southern actually plays Arkansas Pine Bluff this year. Projection of 8 point win on the road and 12 point win at home. So yes they would be favored by 10 points on a neutral.

Unless he starts rebounding it literally doesn't matter. You can't run a 4 guard lineup with a non factor rebounder in the middle.

It won’t be this year but really hoping Dubar and/or Blackwell develop in to junkyard dogs as time goes on. Conditt is so disappointing in that regard. Doesn’t seem to have the knack for rebounding and he’s just the poster child for “bigger is not always better”at any position on the court in basketball. He’s lost so much speed and fluidity as he’s bulked up

This stood out to me yesterday. He didn't look comfortable running up and down the court or with the ball in his hands. He had some skills when he came to ISU, and I was always interested in him being a stretch 5 on offense, but that doesn't look possible now. He's 6'10" with long arms and good athleticism, but he can't figure out how to be a consistent rim protector. He has a few bad habits that have never been fixed, mainly trying to swat everything out of the arena when jumping straight up would be more effective.

That’s why it drives me insane when every kid that comes in the first 50 posts in their threads are half that just say “he needs to bulk up”, “needs to work on his body”. It’s a fine balance and they got the balance wrong with Conditt. But also let’s be honest he was always a project and projects don’t usually work out.

ISU has one or two plus players on their roster in JCL and Bolton. IMO that's it. We'll see how it shakes out.

That’s one more plus player than last year ;). I like the plus player point. Some of ISUs best teams recently had atleast three dudes on the team that could go get buckets. I hate using this as example of the opposite though but look at EIU. They have one maybe two plus players this year and are a top ten ball club. It’s doable if you have the right supporting pieces and those pieces know and stick to their roles (and they do).

Good luck with that statement! I’ve said that the last 4 years and have got attacked by the “he does so much more rebounding then the numbers show” Total BS - if you’re that big you should be able to get SOME rebounds. Young is a bad rebounder plain and simple!!!

People actually seemed to agree with me in the summer, Young is good, but we are a better team if Conditt or Foster can beat him out.

I really like what I saw of Dubar. I haven't rewatched the game yet but I really liked what I saw from him.

I think with the talent we have, we can be a surprise team. Next year has a chance to really compete with guys like Foster, Conditt, Hinson, Johnson, Blackwell, and Dubar at the 4/5 and some experience.

Funny note: the immortal Caleb Grill is on ESPN2 starting at point for Otz at UNLV. They jumped out to a 12-0 lead vs. North Carolina. And he drilled his one and only early 3-pt attempt. Remember when he didn't hit a 3 for about a month for us?

Anyway, I wish the kid well.

I’m confident Dubar is ready to fill a role like that this year. It was just APB but he looked ready to compete against better athletes. He has guard skills and looks great moving his feet and rebounding.

I wonder if this thread is going to age as well as the threads immediately after the UL game did.
I don't think too many people are making mass assumptions on anyone here. We always knew Solo wasn't a rebounder. (We were just hoping an offseason magically changed that.) After watching a game we have figured out that it didn't.
