KU defense has been analytically elite. Some of that is due to slowed down tempo, 9th in conference.

They still have a lot of talent and Self hasn't forgotten to coach.

I see them grinding on offense. Move the ball around and force us to defend for the shot clock. Also they want to preserve HD. We are shorter on the bench so they want to test out stamina.

We haven't really played a good defense since Auburn and KU's metrics are elite on D. I feel this is going to be more of a struggle then we would expect or want. I hope the unthinkable doesn't happen but It feels like a 1 possession game in the last mins.

Believe KU started the year as #1 in most polls so they are still KU, a team with lots of talent.
Took awhile to mesh the new talent, but seems they are playing more like preseason expectations.

Probably a slobberknocker.

Their defense analytics are primarily driven by shooting percentages. they aren't elite at forcing turnovers (average, really), blocking shots or defensive rebounding (good, not great). but opponents are shooting ~28% from three and ~35% overall. Having watched a couple parts of games, it's not obvious to me why that is - they aren't a great pressure defense team - and several of the guards aren't very good at keeping drivers in front of them. Adams and Dickinson, positionally, make up for some of that - but I don't think they're defensive rating is maintainable. However, I expect them to improve offensively at some point in the season.

I do think this is a game, especially without Milan, where they sink in an clog the lane and make us try to shoot them out of it - and we struggle to make enough threes to blow the game away.

our season low points in 74 against Baylor (same as TTU in regulation) - I think this game is probably lower than that, but I think we have a lot of success defending KU as well - and we win something like 71-60.

Need two of Heise/Nojus/Lipsey/Gilbert to have decent nights from beyond the arc and this can be comfy. I'm just gonna assume CuJo will have his typical night, hope I'm right

I think Chat gets some more minutes. I assume he’ll play on the perimeter to lure DICKinson out. My prediction? Chat splashes a 3 ball in HD’s face
