There is just something off with these guys. Let the speculation run wild or whatever you want. But the effort, the chemistry the body language. Something is wrong.
I agree, where is the def effort that we had in the last game at Houston. We were a freaking shell of the team that was down 1 at Houston really making a push to win that game. With the injuries and whatever is happened to body language and chemistry of the team, something major has happened over the last couple weeks. I love this team as much as anyone, but you can't just ignore what you are watching.

How different would this season be right now if TJ had opted to foul with two seconds left at Arizona? I get why he didn’t do it but that shot killed this team mentality
I don’t buy it. That was long time ago. You don’t go to freaking OSU and get out hustled and out played like we did tonight.

I don't see how 30mins in Dec matter. But why not try more Watson tonight (guessing no offense) or some Nojus to give a spark and rest

Needed Milan and Tamin to score more with Gilbert out
This has a cumulative effect. Playing the way we play over the course of a season is going to affect your legs. Get them rest where the opportunity presents itself. We have all the hallmarks of a tired team: short shots, slow rotations, rebounding issues, getting beat in transition.

This is the difference between good and great teams. Houston will never lose to a team like this.

First of all Sampson wouldn't let his guys play like that, he would have lit them up. TJ just stands there playing with his chin.

Hell Sampson lit up Tuggler last night for fouling someone on a 3.

Whether we like it or not, there is some expectation to live up to the outside noise.

We can say long season this, road games that.

But we cost ourselves a lot of goodwill around the country today people have already been bending over backwards to keep giving us...and it sucks.

Every time people legitimately want to crown us, we generally manage to find a way to make it blow up in people's faces.

So sad to see them go from a team that had everything going for them, and finally getting respect from national media, collapse.

Unrealistic expectations because we’re Iowa state but coming out of Maui I legit thought we were a top 3 team, the insanely stupid low IQ basketball team hasn’t improved all season and we’ve somehow gotten worse as the season has gone on.
We are weak minded. We lose a game and the team thinks the world is crashing.

Houston and us are not even on the same echelon. They beat to top 10 teams in the same week and will literally make through the big 12 with one loss.

Turnovers are there Achilles heal. Keeps them from getting any momentum. They don’t seem to value the basketball as much as other TJ teams.
achilles is turnovers, rebounding, defense and at times free throws at the same time. Don’t forget interior intensity…other than that I can see this team making a deep run. Maybe they can maybe they can but this team won’t make the sweet 16 even as is
