Watching the win at TT from early season and at 7:40 of 2nd half Jacobson fumbles a pass out of bounds under the ISU basket, falling down in the process. It's a TV timeout. Talley jumps off the bench and comes running all the way over and helps Jacobson up. Others getting there too. Loved the enthusiasm and team love! Let's get that back, starting today.

Other interesting stats from that game:
Jacobson double-double with 10 boards
Conditt 14 minutes as only big to play after MJ
ISU 39 rbs, TT 37
ISU 5/21 from 3, 24%. (Thought ISU only wins when shooting well from 3)

We did everything else pretty well, and the key there is that we didn't force the issue from deep, but passed around to get better shots (and rebounded, and played defense). We'll need to do those things again today.

The closer you get to game time, the more optimistic we can be. On a few occasions, Iowa State has answered a bad loss with a really good win. This feels different. It doesn't help that Iowa State handed Tech their only home loss this year and revenge + winning the big 12 means you know they will be ready.

Certainly won't be a blowout like the games against TX and WVU, but who knows if they can right the ship. A win would be well earned today.

I too have a good feeling about today, and TBH I haven't felt good about a game in quite a while. Even the OU game we won I didn't feel good about it going in. Hoping the guys ironed out their differences as much as possible and everyone is ready to get after it today.

I saw on Twitter that THT is urging fans to come out and support, so perhaps good vibes are back among the team members.

I’ve rarely felt less optimistic about a basketball game. I don’t think it will be close. Still, nothing would surprise me this year.
