That gym was really really hot.

So....

Did the players sweat? Or is the sweat meaningless in a hot gym? I don't know the formula for sweat factor and how it translates to player's efficiency...something like this:

OucesOfSweat^2 / NumberOfStars - YearsOfEligibilityLeft = efficiency rating?

you left out the hot gym factor. Uh how could you do this. Now my numbers are all messed up. Ellerman was the 5th best player on the team!

I happened to be sitting next to Scott Christopherson at a CCL game a couple of years ago. He said the players were dead tired because they had already lifted wts and played 2 hours of basketball that day. So keep in mind the chances are these guys are not going to have the energy to give max effort all the time in these games because of exerting a lot of energy earlier in the day.

Edozie had 16 rebounds. That's not terrible.

Naz Long led the Iowa State guys (I think) with 47 points. That's not a surprise if you watched the games.

In fairness to Naz he scored and shot a lot but he had to. His team isn't that great and Nadar didn't show. He's the only real scorning threat on the team.

Wouldn't surprise me if the last words Fred said Percy were to not get hurt in the CCL. It's stupid for Percy to put up a lot of effort inside against lower level players in the CCL. There is NO REWARD because he's not working against similar talent and there is a lot of risk.

Using this logic I should see Percy play hard and exert a lot of energy when he has to play Niang down low this summer in the CCL.

I'm sure if anything Fred wants to see effort. Everyone else was able to run up the court except for the walking dead Percy. His effort is horrible and you have to question his love for the game anymore.

A lot of people said the same amout Royce in the CCL but at least he ran and made it to the other end of the floor most of the time to play offense.

Of course. I came away most impressed with Naz last night. I don't know that he missed a ton of shots to get those 47 points either. He was the guy that got his team back into the game. Naz was also getting in SDW's face on defense and was a leader on the floor.

I'll watch him closer on Friday, but I think you are delusional if you think Percy was walking up the floor much more than anyone else on his team or the other teams.

Wow...dramatic much? Maybe he's nursing or protecting an injury...I know I read that he had surgery not long ago. Also, if it's true his team was up by 20pts most of the game like someone said AND he was hot from three to start....who cares?

I'm not going to keep a stat line on how many times he crosses mid court but I do know endozie and hogue ran down the court to post up and get in good rebounding position more than 90% of the time and the other 10% were fast breaks where the ball was shot before most of the team was across the mid line. Percy has the Booker mentality it appears to me.

I wouldn't say that. I can see some potential out of him.

I agree. He is definitely athletic enough to be effective. Good footwork.

I don't see a lot of minutes for him next year, but I also don't see Ellerman taking playing time from him either.

I am one of the ones who thought Percy was being lazy but I know he works hard in practice and in games so I'm not worried but sometimes when people give reports and you make fun out of the thingd you say there is probably a good chance the reports stop. Gibson being lazy was just an observation not a "Oh no! Percy doesnt work hard at anything in life, he won't see any playing time."

In fairness to Percy the pace of CCL probably tires him out quickly. With that said we run a fast tempo so hopefully he can improve his conditioning this year.

Good god people, it's a meaningless exhibition game. You have no idea what's going on with him. Maybe he had an intense workout that day, or he was out late the night before, or he was under the weather. Or maybe he just doesn't give a **** because its a meaningless exhibition game!

I read Travis Hines article on Monte and he was talking about fans coming out to watch him play and the only option is to go hard. So it may be shocking to you but some of these players actually play hard. Bubu is a 5th year senior and that doesn't stop him from playing hard.

Percy didn't cross half court most of the time. Walked a lot. Seemed very lazy. Has a good shot but didn't attempt to do anything inside. I was disappointed.

You realize this is Capital City league? It is probably 3 steps below practice on the hierarchy. So people on here take the CCL way to seriously and need to look at it as a fun workout like the players do.

The real issue is, ISU fans are hungry for basketball during the worst wait time of the year, so they latch on hoping these players are as nuts about it as we are. They aren't. I agree with you, who cares, but that's the way it goes. BTW, where are the videos at Chris? Seamore wants food!!!

I believe it is calculated using pennyweights of sweat, not ounces.
