The game was at Stilwell, right? Doesn't surprise me that it was hot in there. They said they were going to fix it last summer but they never did. Floor sucks too.

In fairness to Percy the pace of CCL probably tires him out quickly. With that said we run a fast tempo so hopefully he can improve his conditioning this year.
Exactly, its a tough pace to keep up with for the post players. As mentioned before, the cap city league is a guards game. Also, I didn't think Percy was moving up and down the court any slower than Niang was.

Edozie needs someone to teach him where to be at all times. I think he will improve more than any other player from now until the start of the season.

Niang need to shut his mouth and play. Love his game and love what the guys done for our team, but he talks smack to everyone; the refs, the people on the sideline, and he was even getting in Edozie's face when he scored on him. Let your game do the talking.

Thomas does everything the right way. He's a coach's dream. Even in layup drills, he ran all the way back to half court to touch the line while everyone else was cutting corners. He boxes out every play, calls out screens, and finds open players. He's not as quick as Tyrus, but his hustle and determination sure remind me of him.

Monte is the smoothest player on our team. He has star written all over him. Has a great jumper and quick first step. I feel much more comfortable with him as a ball handler now too. I can see him running the point when he's in and Kane playing the 2 or 3. I hope this doesnt discredit my other claims, but Monte has swag.

SDW wants to be the star. That could be good or bad. I like his effort getting to the basket, but he doesn't seem to pass out much. There were numerous times when he'd create open players in the corners by slashing to the basket, but didn't see the shooters. He's definitely got the confidence of a star and has a great outside shot.

Last bit, I honestly thought Ellerman looked pretty decent. It's the CCL, but he hit a mid range jumper and had great position inside. Good for him.

I am one of the ones who thought Percy was being lazy but I know he works hard in practice and in games so I'm not worried but sometimes when people give reports and you make fun out of the thingd you say there is probably a good chance the reports stop. Gibson being lazy was just an observation not a "Oh no! Percy doesnt work hard at anything in life, he won't see any playing time."

If the reports just set somebody up as the season's fall guy, then they're worthless.

Everyone has opinions. If someone's opinion is the minority of the group then they're likely to be attacked by the majority. It is what it is, but its starting to get very noticeable on CF.

This picture isn't at the Cap City League but I couldn't figure out where to put it. Anyways here is a picture of the newcomers.

L to R: Bluford, Hogue, Thomas, Morris, Kane, and Edozie. Nader not pictured.

Does anyone know where Nader is/why he isn't playing in Cap City/when he is getting to campus?

The minority opinion is attacked by the majority opinion. Brilliant insight, Ballshard.

You mean a discussion board where people disagree with each other? Strange concept.

There is a difference between verbally disagreeing with someone and verbally attacking someone (like saying you will gauge their eyes with a spoon). I'm noticing a trend on here where the majority is attacking someone who has a different opinion. Like when someone said that Paul Rhoads is a 6-7 win guy. Everyone could have just said they disagree and listed reasons why, but instead they called him a troll and an idiot for making that thread. Just because I believe I haven't seen Percy try his hardest doesn't mean I need to get my eyes gauged with a spoon (and yes, I know he was kidding).

No no no. He was attacked because he just joined the site and within his first couple posts, made a troll thread. The Percy thing, it's pointing out the obsurdity of CCL effort. Being critical of his games during the season last year is fair game imo, but CCL? Come on... It's not like anyone is deleting your posts or banning you, it's your opinion to say whatever you want, just as it's other opinions to call said opinion silly. That is my opinion on it for what it's worth (Probably nothing lol)

There is a difference in criticism as State43 pointed out. Percy didn't make the playing potential jump we hoped this past year. It's fine to criticize about that. But Allen Iverson said it best "We talking about Capital City League! Not a game. Capital City League!" Percy can put as much effort he wants its meaningless summer games. It is his choice. There are also several other reasons why Percy might not play well in CCL. They had practice that day. He had classes that day. They had lifting that day. He had surgery on his hand and doesn't want to re-injure it until he knows he is 100% with that hand. But when someone comes in and posts "Percy doesn't even look like he wants to be here" regarding his play, he is asking to be ripped to shreds.

And I hope you aren't disgruntled that State43 posted that picture in regards to you posting Percy's 3 point stats. That wasn't an attack on you. State43 was obviously having fun with the drama this topic has. It was more like a "Here we go, someone posted his stats. Who will be the first to criticize the 3s and effort?" type post.

I'm going to try to make the 5:30 game tonight, I've never been inside Valley SWs, is there much bleacher room? How full have the games been? Reason I ask is I want to take my kids and want to have some room to spread out, one's a 2 year old. Thanks!

You should have plenty of room. I've only been to one where that hasn't been the case, and it was when Royce, Craig and Diante were there.

I think the only reason we question his effort in the CCL is because he doesn't give a 100% effort in actual games. I can see Niang not going all out 100% in the CCL, but I don't say anything because he gives max effort in actual games. Percy deserves all criticism he gets. He brings it on himself. The care free attitude is so visible all the time.
