Both teams are both really good. Both teams go on runs bout the same. They have great moments followed by very average play for stretches. I think the winner goes on the right spurt at the right time. It's also a game where I could see a team get out to a 15 point lead and not be safe. Hope the good guys can pull this one out.

Woke excited for some Cyclone basketball.

I know there is some worry Auburn being more "ready" than ISU due to their impressive win over UH. They deserve our respect and it'll be a great test for ISU.

I will say if any team should be prepared it would be ISU having their 4 top scorers from last year who have played in big games. The staff has been focused on Auburn all summer and I fully trust they will have a plan for Broome to overcome any lack of early season tests.

I have read that AU backcourt is their question mark which plays into ISU's strength. We will see if ISU rebuilt frontcourt can match up with AU's. Lot to ask but the staff wanted to add size via Jackson, Chatfeld and Jefferson precisely to compete with this type of team (eventually KU and AZ).

In the end is ISU in a tourney game and the Cyclones win tourney games. Might be my heart over my mind but feel ISU wins game 1, close 64-61.

LIke someone has already mentioned I think the first 10 minutes decide the game. I'm a bit concerned our backcourt will have a few sloppy turnovers and we'll miss some bunnies as we adjust to the speed of the game. If ISU is within 6-8 at the under-12, I'll feel good about our chances

This early season schedule has been brutal, we've only played three games while other teams have played upwards of eight
I scanned Kenpom, and it appears we're the only team in the country with just three games played through Sunday. We're also dead last in SOS. That will change quickly, of course.

Biggest travesty is having this game on ESPNU
even more traverstic is that ESPN+ doesn't get you acces to all ESPN channels. You pay ESPN for their streaming, but then have access to ONLY their streaming.

Looks like I'll have to head east to parlay a stream.

Gonna be a tough game. Wish this was not our 4th game. Would have liked a bit more fine tuning before this one.

GO STATE!
When Auburn played Houston, they had played one game, a 40 point win over Vermont. Since UH, they've played 2 more cupcakes, Kent St and North Alabama.
Maybe the Cyclones should've played a top 10 team as their 2nd game, but they waited until their 4th.

Is this really a huge advantage for Auburn? I think the Cyclones will be ready. I don't know if they'll win. This is the test we've been waiting for. I've got butterflies already!

The difference tonight = Joshua Jefferson. If he scores over 14 we win. If he is below that, we lose. I expect the usual production from Lipsey and Jones. Momcilovic needs to drain a few 3's as well. Defense will be fine. It's the offense I am worried about.
