TJ needs to figure out a workable defensive scheme for this group to use against perimeter shooting. Whoever said they were worried that BYU would be kryptonite for ISU's defense was spot on.
Keshon is doing what we need him to do by attacking, finishing and playing solid defense. He’s not a jump shooter, but I don’t think that was ever his role.Keshon has been good. He makes dumb decisions too often but he’s good.
@Cytown12 I was agreeing with you.You don’t understand, if he had played more tonight, we might’ve lost by 20 instead of 15.
I think the offensive sets they run are not the best for a guy like Pavs, he is going to need open looks. He is not going to create his own shots.Unfortunately, the transfers we brought in have been underwhelming so far to say the least
We do the same thing, this is the new world where metrics matter. No, you are correct. They kept their starters in and kept jacking up threes. Come to Hilton, BYU.....see you there.
This and don’t blame TJ, they looked good on tape and fortunately most are young, but tough transition so far.Unfortunately, the transfers we brought in have been underwhelming so far to say the least
Keshon has been remarkably inefficient. He went 6/15 from the field, 0/3 from 3 and had 4 turnovers.Keshon is doing what we need him to do by attacking, finishing and playing solid defense. He’s not a jump shooter, but I don’t think that was ever his role.
I don't know if it's the sets we run or the execution, but our guys run offense like robots. There's no purpose. Eventually we drive into the lane that is packed. Would love to see us spread the floor more. Not sure if it's lack of confidence, but I think we have guys that are more than capable of hitting 3s. They just have to pull the trigger.I just don’t understand how we can year after year have so many guys that are limited offensively. At any point in the game we have 2-3 non threats in the game, or at a minimum guys who are good at maybe one thing offensively.
OK, let me explain something to you. Jones has a chance of doing something useful for the team this year. As a matter of fact he has already shown he is a good defender and CAN hit 3s (not as many as we'd like, but has hit some.) He has a chance, Omaha has shown 10% of the opportunity to benefit this team as C Jones has. CJo should be in there, getting game experience so he can take the next step.I’m sure sitting on the bench really does a lot, and rather him get some minutes then watch Jones do nothing but miss shots and play terrible defense.
Let’s just say I’m looking forward to BYUs visit to Hilton on March 6th.
That loss to Oklahoma State…at home…where we scored 36 points…was pretty bad.I don't. This is how it feels when we lose to Fran. For me at least.
I really don't think it was the 3 point defense that sunk us. We could have overcome that. They were 14-22 of two, which I am sure will drive TJ nuts. That, and we gave up way too many free throws, and didn't turn them over enough or rebound that well.TJ needs to figure out a workable defensive scheme for this group to use against perimeter shooting. Whoever said they were worried that BYU would be kryptonite for ISU's defense was spot on.
Pretty much inbred band campThey are experts in the cheers and chants from the 80s.
