You might be surprised to see what happens in that Houston game tomorrow. BYU is going to be able to match their physical style of play is what I think. If BYU wins this game it's a statement that we're in the Big 12 to play and nobody's going to push us around. Alot of people just assume we're nice squeaky clean Mormon boys. That's not the case. They play to win and won't back down. But the difference is you can do it with some class and not flagrants.
So the team with the 148th ranked Class of '21 (per 247sports) is gonna start overwhelming us all with their strength and athleticism, we sure have a lot of other invitations we need to start mailing out.

Somebody should let Yormark know. We wouldn't want to backslide to the.... (*checks notes*)... 2nd best basketball conference or anything by missing out on any of these 147 other juggernauts ready to physically manhandle their way to Big 12 Titles.

Boy if we had a nickel for everytime anyone who isn't from BYU has called the character of Melvin Ejim and Hasan Ward, respectively, into question...

...well, we would have 0 nickels. Because it's literally never happened before.

Might wanna wait a little longer to start picking your battles, @BYU Dad because this is the Big 12 conference.

It gets a lot lot worse.

This moron has road trips to Phog, KSU and Hilton at the end of his schedule and he thinks it's rough now.

You don't need to worry about that. I'll be here. BYU has the calendar circled for that game.
This guy seems like the TUCO of KU that lives in his moms basement with these weird flexes and grocery store brags. Seriously, thanks for the comedy. You'll learn soon enough that the big 12 is a grinder. Ya can't just come to a very passionate fanbases message board you just beat and expect flowers and chocolates and for us to welcome you with open arms. Winning on the road in the B12 is quite difficult and the schedule takes a toll on the players by the end of the season since there are no nights off.

If BYU players or any of their fans are anything like you, Ward needs to whip your ass again. LOL
You mean barely touch them and they Marcus Smart flop?
It started out a-ok. But then everyone piled on. Honestly, its like 20 on 1 and I'm still owning.
Are you sure you're a dad?? What dad actually talks like this??
Our boys have to play the game too. Sometimes that means getting a little bit physical and holding your ground.

But guess what?

You've never seen BYU do anything like your player did. That's just taking it to far and very uncalled for. I'll just come out and say it. Iowa State should've have suspended him for at least a game.

More like Iowa State showing up to our house and behaving badly. The first time you come your players stands in front of our fans and flips off everybody in the building. Then you come back a few years later and play like its a hockey game.

If you watch the video, the main take away is the victim of the dirty play is still hurt. He said his neck and ribs hurt. That may have cost BYU the game at Texas Tech we'll never know. Just because he could play it doesn't mean he's 100% and probably far from it. Nice job.
Sounds like your attitude is the same as Saunders...that you think it's ok enabling this type of behavior. Your pathetic boy egged him on, Ward retaliated, your guy added the extra flop, then you seem to blame our dude for your guys hurt little body part for the next game. You see the problem here? Literally claiming victimhood for sh*t your team started. Don't even correlate 2013's occurrence to present day. It's current times, those players likely don't even remember 2013. So, like I said, you're ok with your players starting the whole process and then blame our players for acting on it? That's like being the little brother and annoying his bigger brother so much, he finally knocks him around a little bit and then the little brother goes and cries to mom and dad blaming big bro for acting out and not accepting any responsibility.

Sorry for the long post everyone. Playing catchup and this is pretty sad so I felt obligated to respond. Not trying to feed the troll.

Oh feed the stupid troll, love the post!

And you're spot on. Saunders egged him on, probably verbally, and physically too (chippy throughout the game), and with the admitted jab to Hason on the 1st FT. Then he basically is telling his teammates and coaches to "watch this" as he leans into Hason on the 2nd FT asking for it. He gets hit pretty hard but he does flop pretty good also. It was planned and executed. This meets the definition of a dirty player in my book.

I'll bet Saunders is one of BYU Dad's favorite players. Figures.

If we just would have been a little more patient we wouldn’t even have BYU in this conference. Would love to have Wazzou or Oregon St over another private school religious cult.
So true, they're literally a carbon copy of the ISU fanbase. And OSU turned it up a notch on the football side of things recently.

You guys are arguing with a guy who believes Joseph Smith was a messenger of god. A proven con artist before he even made up the Mormon religion. You are literally arguing with a ******* moron.

We've been to Provo twice, and the first time one of the nicest and smartest players we've ever had flipped your crowd off for dropping N bombs. Then you guys were taking cheap shots all game and get it back and act like someone tried to kill you. We have a word for that here, SOFT.
Wasn't a female basketball player a victim of n-bombs at BYU a couple of years ago? It seems like a pattern...

I mean, our crowd is mostly white and that **** doesn't happen in Ames.

Since BYU Dad thinks we are piling on, I will pile on some more. Change or delete one letter, and...

Mormon = Moron

BYU Dad, you are doing your pack proud.

Edit: Riffing now: Mormon = O no! (take out a few letters)

There's a bit to unpack here. There isn't a real strong correlation between intelligence and religiosity, so calling an individual a moron (who by all accounts is deserving) seems appropriate. Calling a group doesn't. After all, there are Mormon professors at Iowa State. And as you undoubtedly know from your doctoral training, getting a PHD is no small intellectual task.

Second, there are unfortunately more posters like BYU Dad (I have a hard time believing he's the dad of a BYU student. Maybe a cat dad of a kitten named Cosmo?), than I would like on BYU's main board. So I like it here more. Generally.

You are correct, and I really do not mean to call Momons morons. I WAS piling on at this point, fueled by byu dad, who is a moron. And I'm not one to typically call people names. He is deserving though.

You, on the other hand, are welcome here, IMO. I appreciate your input.

Every fan base has morons. There is a huge difference between the two BYU fans in this never ending game thread. One sounds like a tween boy and one fits right in here. Good reminder not to lump people together based on common fandom or other characteristics.
