I understand that we don't have great shooters on this roster, but the coaches are not doing enough schematically to get open looks. Part of the reason why we focus on trying to get so many turnovers is because the coaches know they can't run a half court offense.

They seemed to have some looks last game but didn't attempt in a timely manner. Offensively in general ISU looked rattled by BYU being so bothersome on the pass or handle.

I'm not sure if ISU has the dudes to play real solid offensively vs. P6 opponents overall. You can run a scheme but generally speaking there has to be the ability to create within that and it doesn't work. Mid-major guys look like mid-major guys out there.

BYU was really sharp imo; they ran Hoiball the way people tend to remember it as (it often wasn't very smooth).

Brightside was ISU scored 72 in a loss.

Although the offense did not look good for large stretches of the game. Not enough 3pt shooters to space floor or shot makers to break down defense. Causes them to work very hard in half court. I wonder what the +/- split is with Lipsey on and off court against good competition.

They can still have a fun year and get some wins even if ceiling is limited by offense. Go find a 3pt shooter to play next to Lipsey and Mom next year

Demolition Derby. The Big 12 is a meat grinder.

Iowa State shouldn't feel bad about getting schooled by BYU. Provo is a very difficult place to play and the Cougars are top 10 in net rating. I expect BYU to be a top seed in the tournament this year and its possible we could even win the Big 12.

The Cyclones are a good team and will rebound.

I want whatever was used to spike your Diet Coke. BYU is good this year. Much better than expectations. But I think they have about a 1% chance to win the Big 12.

I used to think there was no chance but after watching Big 12 games so far, I'm pretty confident. Kansas, Houston, and Texas Tech are all overrated. Iowa State's a great team but BYU's style of play is a bad match for the Cyclones and they can't stop Cougars offense and all of our three pointers.

If BYU beats the Raiders tomorrow, the chances go way up we will be in the title game.

Big 12 does regular season and conference tourney champs separately.

I was impressed with their skills though. Can they keep defending that well or was that more due to ISU being limited?

I've been watching BYU basketball for years. This team is the real deal.

Have you ever interacted with a Yewt? Good luck finding a Yewt fan who is even sober. You will see how bad they are soon enough. Worst fan base in America.

Not that it couldn’t happen, but this is the correct answer. There’s gonna be some rude awakenings for the newcomers throughout the season

Well honestly most fan bases for championship teams* can be annoying for the non-champions.

*Conference season is just starting, but we all know it's inevitable.
