I'd like to see Demarion Watson in for some minutes to badger Sonders. He could be physical, eat up some fouls and maybe keep him from getting on track.
I love this! We've seen other teams enact the heavy foul strategy on us (effectively, I might add) to keep us off tempo. I'd like to see this, tonight. Although, I'm guessing TJ doesn't see this as sportsman's strategy.

If we win does that lock up the double bye in for KC, or do we still need to win on Saturday?

If Arizona wins out, me must also, I think.
Yes, we can beat BYU and lose to K-State and still get the 4. We'd have tie breaker over.

If KU beats AZ and we win out we would be the 3 seed, which is still plausible.

2 Seed would take a little more, like a TTech loss @ AZ St or to CU

Under the radar things that could come into play.

This is BYUs 3rd game in 6 days. Look for tired legs in the second half.

I don’t think they are overlooking us, but they also play their biggest rival (UTAH) next who beat them earlier this year.

BYU is 0-3 in Central Timezone games.

BYU averages 11 to 12 threes a game. They hit 17 threes against Arizona State recently and have several games with 14 or more threes.

Look for us to go small this game. We need to run them off the three-point line. This is not a game we can completely use our no middle philosophy. If our ball pressure and physicality is good and we rebound well, we should be able to wear them down. We win by 10 plus if we can do this.

Let’s send Hilton off the right way. Then we go back to the Winchester and wait for this whole thing to blow over.

We should have invited Ejim back for this game but is a bit of a travel from the league he’s playing in.

I don't think it has to be intentionally fouling or overly physical, just send Demarion out there with the singular focus of making everything difficult for him when they're on offense. Demarion is the only guy other than Jefferson that is a physical match for him, and we certainly don't want Jefferson sitting with foul trouble.

Meant to post in this thread:

BYU has the best Against The Spread record in the Big 12. We are #2.

BYU is hot and will have our full attention.

BYU is Meh on the road. Some good. Some bad. But it’s mostly the Defense that struggles on the road.

Our numbers at Full Strength are strong.

Our numbers vs Ranked Opponents are strong

Our numbers at home are strong

Factor in Senior Night.
(for THIS YEAR’s Seniors)

Computers and Vegas love the Cyclones.

Can’t go against A.I. and Bugsy Siegel.

BYU 72
ISU 85

If you don’t like the spread, you can always take Cyclones over 79.5 points-125.
The good news is that they don't force many turnovers, they aren't a great offensive rebounding team and don't get to the FT line very much (and don't shoot well when getting there)

The bad news is that don't turn the ball over and shoot (especially recently) an insanely good percentage from the field (both 2s and 3s)

Saunders has been really really good - shooting 44% from 3 and 60% from 2 - and he's taken more 2s than 3s.

the freshman Demin leads them in assists - he's 6'9", but listed as a guard. He hasn't been great from three point land (29%), but has made one in 11 of their last 12 games. He takes a lot - the same number as Milan on the season. He doesn't rebound a ton - they are a team I think we should be able to pound it inside and dominate the glass - even when playing 4 guards.
